RIO Royal MG 12 gauge Armored slug, 2 3/4", 1 1/8 oz, 1510 fps, 5 Round Box

The RMG Armored slug is made up of 4 elements: Stainless steel nose cone, lead spiral jacket around a steel penatrating pin with an ABS plastic base.

Thanks to the CSB smokeless powder, our slugs carry high velocity and energy at the muzzle and magnificent stopping power downrange.

"The shape of these slugs is like a jet turbine with an alloy, or possibly steel, cylinder sunk in them. They look nasty and I would pit them against Brenneke Special Forces Short Magnums in performance. They may penetrate more, due to the harder core. All I'll add is I would not shoot them out of an old shotgun or a semi auto."

"I fired several rounds of this shotgun ammo at a 3/8\" mild steal plate and I was very disappointed! A 1-oz. Federal hollow point slug made a greater impression than this ammo. Nothing special here, people!"

"Shouldnt have to write this but, guys ignore Brian M.'s review. If u dont understand simple physics dont be playing with firearms. This isnt supposed to be some type of AP round. The purpose of this round is to resist deformation traveling through harder denser materials i.e. wood, bone, glass, sheet metal(auto, shed siding) thus delivering its energy into further penetration rather than deforming and fragmenting and slowing down. The results of his steel plate comparison aren't conclusive of anything. take your rifle and shoot thick steel with a FMJ or a HCL and than shoot a HP or SP and your results should equal to his."
