"It went right on an' fit the dovetail for the front sight on the flashsuppressor , of the Armscorp rifle I put together of all USGI parts last year , nice and tight. The sight was the exact height as the orginal USGI I had used before so I didn't have to adjust the rear sights even one click . All in all a nice upgrade for a small money and effort ."

"this sight is 1/8 inch shorter than the national match sight...but my rifle was shooting to low, so that worked out. this sight is awesome at night! that little glowing ball lines up so fast! but during the day is a different story...the sight is fat and its shape is a little irregular, all affecting its performance... especially at greater distances.. I will keep it on my rifle except for matches. oh, and ameriglo has awesome customer service. they said they would have a taller sight by june...and exchange it for free, if i want"

"I purchased this sight for my M1a Standard. This is my 'if the you know what hits the fan' go to rifle. It is set up with a Leupold 1.75x6 VxIII scope mounted on a Sadlak titanium mount with Leupold Q/R rings. I was hoping that this site would be 'The Answer' for any short range two - legged predators I might encounter.Unfortunately, the site does not 'glow' nearly bright enough to be seen at the end of my standard length rifle. I tried to pick it up in a windowless room - pitch black - no good. I am 36 years old with 20/15 eyesight. As a comparison I had a friend hold one of my 1911's with Novak night sights next to the AmeriGlo sight in the same room. It was like night and day, pun intended. Picking up the Novak was not a problem. If anyone knows of an effective night sight for the M1a I would love to hear about it because this one isn't it."

"Installed easily, no problems. At the range the dot was a little hard to pick up at times, could be a little larger would help. Haven't tried it after dark yet but see no reason why it shouldn't work."
