AK-47 Tritium Night Vision Front Rifle Sight: AmeriGlo sights are machined from US-made bar stock steels and assembled using Swiss-made tritium light sources. AmeriGlo sights are used worldwide by law enforcement, military, and recreational shooters.

Remember that tritium naturally decays, but can be expected to have a useful service life of at least 12 years. The sights will lose brightness as the material (tritium gas) decays

"I have a Saiga, 308 with a 16.3" barrel and old eyes. The little post that comes standard with the Saiga and all AK type rifles is difficult to see when looking down range at a target. This site greatly improves the sight picture and thus accuracy! Additionally, with just a bit of soap to ease the Ameriglo Night Front Sight's threads into the factory front sight-barrel it installs with ease. Let me be specific, the Ameriglo Night Front Sight's threads exactly match the factory Saiga's threads. This is important as the other night front sights (that I've tried for AK's) threads do not match and can not be used without changing the original front sight-barrel. This sight greatly improves the sight picture, but it should not be used at night. If you can not see your target, then you should not be shooting. The tritium insert glows appropriately, but it is not too bright and does not obscure the target."

"(Mak 90 sporter)Good product, bright and easy to install. had a little trouble with it turning when fired. I used some anti-sieze grease and it seems to have fixed the problem. Would recomend with a williams appeture or rear two-dot night sight."

"I still think there could be a better front and rear site combo for the AK. However I am giving this the best rating because no one makes a better front sight yet. Leave the Williams Peep site off though it sucks! The base model Mojo peep site is a MUCH better choice (Not the micro click)"

"I bought this for my Mak 90. It looks really good, but I would suggest ordering a rear site as well, since the factory back blade has a very thin area to look through. This sight is kinda wide, so it fills up my back v-notch and I can't really dial in on target. My only wish is that I had bought an aftermarket rear sight and that they had some tiny white ring around the tritium to help during the daytime.Other than that... it threaded on perfect and glows like it's supposed to."

"Finally,,, I have got the sights where I want them. This front sight is much wider than the original and that is great if you order a quality peep sight. Try the mojo peep sight along with this sight and you will have great sighting system for the AK. This sight is a piece of cake to install especially if you order the front sight tool here at CTD. The peep sight is a real bear to install unless you have have a drill press set-up. There is an outstanding video on you tube that shows how to do it. This video makes a difficult job very easy."

"I have had this on my AK for over 6 months now and can't get over how well it works. I was able to put it on my Romanian AK without the sighting tool that most have purchased when ordering this product, so I would suggest trying it 1st then order one if needed to save money. I love the fact that it works without needing to charge in sunlight or batteries. Its a light weight upgrade that is great for shooting a dusk or moonlight nights when you dont want to use a flashlight, giving you the advantage. I also would suggest putting loc-tite or jb-weld on the threads to keep it from rotating during recoil, which was a problem I didnt find out about until I got to the range. This is a great product that you wont regret getting."

"Installed this on my Mak-90, and it went right in. Doesn't glow too bright, but just enough to see it low lighting conditions. A much better sight than the original."

"Great sight. I have one on my bullpup AK. You'll need an AK front sight tool to install, but they're only $10. Once you got it sighted in, bright and solid."

"The tritium insert fell out after about 500 rounds! Now just a regular old front site with a tiny hole is on my GP75. That sucks, there goes $50! I never would of thought that a premium company would have that kind of problem.....besides the fact that I no longer have a night site, it was a descent night sight. An absolute must for night time shooting. Beats the bell out of standard sights..........But it aint worth a F@#* if its just going to rattle loose and come out."
