"First comment and first off, i love those black rifles. Alot of pins, springs, and screws, but alittle know how and some elbow grease and you turn an RS camaro into an SS. This is a great add on if you like to shoot prone or at the shooting bench. Easy to flick the safety on when your still in the shooting position."

"This is a must have for any tactical minded shooter. This selector is rock solid and easy to install. I think all Ar15's should come with them from the factory."

"I recieved item in a timely manner.Installed it in my rock river LAR-15.I love it.My buddy bought one for his bushmaster just after using mine, because he's a lefty and I'm a righty. When it comes to coyote hunting,we are ready now.We can call the dogs in and flip off the safety much quicker than before, especially when switching hands or such while on the hunt.I really feel it was constructed of good quality, and after removing the pistol grip, detent pin and spring, the hammer and sear and springs etc. The old one came out,and the new one went in and goes back together just nicely. If you won't trust me? then try it for yourself,Because the price is really good for these types of accessories that work on most guns."

"As a southpaw it's something I always wanted. I still find myself working the left side but I'm working on using my thumb. Easy to install and should have been stock for a battle type rifle that could be used left or right handed."

"Well built and solid. This is an excellent choice if you're serious about dexterity and shooting. It does stick out and extra millimeter or so on one side, but it's still a good option. I'm ordering a second one. Thanks, CTD."

"Great part to have no matter what your dominant hand is. I'm a righty but it still comes in handy!"

"mine didn't seem to have threats cut for the screw but I drilled it out and used a self taping screw and that took care of it. fits great now. guess mine was missed on the production line but thats ok I like to tinker any way."

"A nice option to have on your AR whether you're a right or left handed shooter. Install is fairly easy and works just fine."

"I BOUGHT 2 OF THESE AND INSTALLED THEM ON MY 2 ROCK RIVER M4'S ONE WAS A NICE FIT BUT HOWEVER THE OTHER WAS NOT SO GOOD. IT RUBBED MY HOUGE GRIP AND WAS A LITTLE FIESTY BUT WITH SOME FLITZ IT WORKED OK. OVERALL IT IS A GOOD PART."

"Just received and installed my Ambi-Safety on my M&P15, and after a function check for proper working order, this item is my new favorite accessory. The fit and finish looks as though it came standard on my rifle, and it makes operating a whole lot easier, being a lefty. Thanks CTD!"

"A must for tactical shooting, just flip the safety to \"on\" with the forefinger for righties and you never have to remove or alter your grip on your trigger hand to safe your weapon. Know your rifle! You shouldn't be ripping it apart if you don't know how. Easy installation: the hardest part was getting the dang pistol grip screw back in the hole for re attachment This thing went on and worked without a hitch on my RRA LAR-15 and didn't interfere with my magpul MIAD grip"

"Very easy to install, great quality. My only complaint is that the safety does not fit flush on the right side of my Colt SP1."

"CTD comes through again. Being a left long gun shooter can be a pain. This makes it so much easier for me. Installed in 5 minutes without a hassle. Fit snug and works as it should."

"Installed on my Stag Model 1, functions properly. It does catch a little on my hogue grip, but a little breaking in is already helping that. Easy to install. Not bad for the money"

"Installed on a DPMS lower. Works fine, but sticks out just a little from the sides of the reciever, doesn't fit flush like you should expect it too. Functions properly, really like it, no issues with that. Just the hiccup with having a really tight fit and finish. Read somewhere that you could dremel it for the perfect fit, just don't want to try and then ruin it and be out $$ on this part. Would be 5 bullets if it weren't for that issue."

"This works perfect and it installed in no time! A must have for a lefty. A definite 5 bullet item."

"I installed this on my OLL AR-15. It works perfectly. Now it's very easy to engage and disengage the safety. Highly recommended."

"I installed it on a Stag Model 1 and it fit right in. However, when I first installed ii, I had my hogue rubber grip too tight and it rubbed until I loosened it. I apparently over tighted in my unexperience. I Operated a little stiff at first, but I played with it, used it and it works just great now. I might recomend using some loc-tite blue to keep the screw holding right lever on in place. Manually tightening has proven to work thus far. I would recommend to friends."

"I have bought two for previous builds (Bushmasters) and now I am ordering a third one (Aero Precision)! I wish these were stock on all ARs! A flick of the thumb sends the selector to fire, and the best part is I use my right index finger to flick selector back to safe which also takes the finger off the trigger! Great design! It was a little tight with my Houge grip as well, but a little work with a razor to shave off a little off the grip and it works perfect! With most people who work on cars/motorcycles/\"toys\"... Loctite is a must!!!"

"I've used this on the last 5 AR builds, and it is becoming a standard for my customer\uFFFDs ARs. Very good functionally, good quality and fit.Highly recommended."

"Overall, this has a decent fit and finish. A little polishing compound smoothed out some burrs. The problem is that the lower for my M&P15 is too narrow for it. It looks like it does fit a good number of manufacturer's lowers by the responses here."

"I was looking to fix my lefty problem and found this one. The other option was the Stag lefty selector but did not want to go that route. Bought this with other product and was suprised that the one I got was made by CMMG instead of DPMS . Installed it and right side not flush but this works as advertised. Applied some thread lock on the screw to prevent from backing off. Good finish easy to install. Comes with a allen key to install the screw. Will buy again in the future builds. Installed on my two Kalifornia Spike (OLL) recievers..."

"Awesome. Before this Safety Selector I had to remove my hand from the Grip and reposition it to put safety back on. Now I can simply flip the selector with my trigger finger, not even moving my shooting position or grip. One minor problem: I have a rubber grip on my Rock River Arms AR, and the extension/lever on the selector rubbed to much on hand grip. I had to remove .020 - .030\" from the rear, on both sides, to clear the grip and then re-blued the back. Took about 30 minutes to install (never worked on an AR before. Next time should take less than 5 minutes, even with grinding."

"Great price. Like most other reviews though it does stick out and does not fit flush with the gun. It only sticks out a little bit, not enough to get on my nerves. I would recommend this to anyone."

"Went on my Bushmaster with no problems. My only complaint is that it gets in the way of my trigger finger in the fire position. Other than that, its great."

"Perfect fit for my RRA AR15.Would have been nice since I am not a gunsmith for some instructions, but I figured it out. There is a small Allen screw that holds the switch together that I thought was rivet, I finally stuck a small Allen wrench in there to find it was a screw. Other than that I looked on you tube, all AR15s are basically the same. I put a little blue thread lock on the screw before final assembly. Happy shooting."

"Great item - works great and is very smooth. Cost is a bit high IMHO for what it is. 4/5"

"This really is a good investment for the price. It allows selection from safe to fire without having to change the firing grip on the rifle. The finish is just OK though. When you get ready to install it, make sure you have a T-handle Allen wrench or screwdriver with Allen bits for it. Very easy to install though."

"This is a great addition to any rifle. It mounts simple and is a crisp selector. Locks tightly into place. Good clearance to prevent scratching of lower. It does bulk out a little bit near the trigger finger when off safe. It doesn't affect operation and could be Dremeled, but is truly uniform. very sturdy."

"This safety is very easy to install. Works great. Some other reviews complain about how it sticks out a little. However, I find that an easy way to tell if the weapon is on safe or fire is my trigger finger slightly goes over it. That way, you don't have to look down to tell if it's on safe or not. As a Marine, I know how dangerous it is moving with a weapon that's not on safe. The Marines should put ambi safeties on all the M16s and M4s. Semper fi."

"This is great. This is always the first part I get for a new build. First time ordering this part from CTD. Safety is very important, I wish AR-15s already came standard with ambidextrous safeties."

"I like, because you can see very easily or switch from either side. Doesn't seem to be too bulky and like the look, too."

"I picked this up because my dad is left handed and he shoots my AR. It is well made. Take into account that it does make contact with my trigger finger and probably will with yours also. I like that because I can tell whether the gun is on safe or fire without moving my thumb to check."
4.0 5
"No complaints. Finish looks (in the bag) to match my DPMS rifle. The left-side lever is held in place with a small flathead hex screw and has a \"tongue in groove\" to positively rotate the tumbler."
3.0 5
"Some of the other posts have already stated it, this does not fit the M&P-15. It's about 1 1/2mm-2mm too wide. This causes the left side safety lever to rise off of the weapon and not engage with the selector stops. I did a minor amount if grinding and it fits better but nowhere near as well as the factory one. I still have it on my AR and as a lefty this is great. I think my AR is like any home improvement project. There are many flaws but if you weren't the builder they're hard to spot."

"This got to my house really fast. I installed it the same day, and could not be happier. As a lefty, this makes it incredibly easy to engage and disengage the safety. On my New Frontier Armory lower, it is a perfect fit. I can't wait to test it out in a live fire situation on the range."

"Love this safety! Much needed by a southpaw like me. Thank you."

"I'm building my first AR, and needed to find an economical safety selector that would work for a lefty. This selector fit the bill perfectly, and went in easily when I assembled my lower receiver. I would recommend this product to any southpaw looking for manageable fire controls that can also fit any budget."

"I have bought two of these, one for my stag arms model 8 and one for my Just Right carbine 9mm. Both worked perfectly with a very small space between receiver as not to scratch.Great product and service,Good you all!"
