"Mounted this on my Chinese AK and it fit perfectly. A very snug fit. Excellent product."

"This mount works great and also works as a cover for your AK-47. Dont bother with the Tri-Rail Mount, it falls apart the second you shoot. This one works and makes the Tri-Rail Mount look totally useless!"

"Prior to ordering two of these mounts for my two WASR-10 Romanian AK47 rifles, I sent an e-mail to Cheaper Than Dirt customer service to determine if they would fit my rifles. I was informed that the manufacturer was contacted with this question and I was assured that they would fit the WASR-10.The fit was too tight to just replace the old bolt cover with this mount. It took about four or five minutes with a small hand grinder to remove a little bit of metal and paint from each mount to get them to fit. I have not fired the rifles yet with these mounts. The mounts seem to be very well made, and I would be very surprised (and disappointed) if they do not function as expected."

"Fit tighter than the original. I didn't have to use a mallet like the instructions say; just the palm of my hand. I put it on a wasr10 Romanian."

"Bought this for my WASR-10 and after two little bends in two places, it was a perfect and snug fit. Very sturdy product and seems well made. I mounted a 2x30 red dot sight also from this website and shoots great!!"

"When I ordered the scope mount it seemed to long to fit my Rom. Ak, so i gave it to my dad and he ended up fileing it down abit and it fit, but it didnt seem to fit right"

"Just purchased this set. Installation only needed slight filing on the front of the unit for it to fit under the rear sight. I'd rather have a tight fit than a loose one, and after about 10 minutes of filing it fit like a glove. Holds up well under shooting and nothing loosened up either. An excellent item and a lot less than a side mount. I installed this mount on my Romanian WASR-10. Very satisfied and I highly recommend this for Romanian WASR-10 users."

"It took a little grinding and bending but it fits snug looks good."

"Great product! I couldnt be more satisfied for fifteen dollars. Very snug fit, using mine for a holographic site."

"This cover is about a inch too long, it WILL NOT fit a YUGO underfolder, Unless you have a roman ak forget it."

"Nice scope mount for Black River Inc. pro built rom. AK-47 fits my AK perfect no filing bending just a little tap and it was on.Nice tight fit recomend a little afterlock locktight on the two screws to keep them from loosening. GREAT PIECE!!!!"

"Very Impressed! Snapped right on, very snug fit, no mods necessary - US made (R.P.G.) AK-47. Mounted a scope and took in to the range four hours later. Held a zero well after 200 rds. EXCELLENT Value for 15 bucks. Can't beat it!"

"The mount fit nice and tight. No fuss, snapped right into place on my MAK-90. Highly recommended, great price to boot!"

"A good buy for the money. Just file here and there, and a bend here, you could make it work. Believe in yourself and you can do anything."

"Thought I'd spend the $15, even with some bad reviews, and figerd I'd at least get a pair of scope mounts in the deal (actual scope mounts, not fixed to rail, can adjust to any size or use for other scopes/rails). Mounted this on my WASR-10 Romanion AK and after a little finneangling, 5 minutes later I had a nice solid mount. Front fits in original receiver cover slot, as well as a litle tang that fits just under rear leaf sight. Back fits through existing block hole, as well as 2 bolts that tighten against frame to prevent rattling. Only 4 bullets rating, lost half a bullet because the tang under the leaf spring, although keeps it solid, throws off the rear sight a little high, so must manually adjust front sight. Also, can't shoot long range open sights, because once elevation adjustment pin is moved to about 6 or 7, you can't see it through the peep-through under the rail. However, if kept back to 1-3, you can still use iron sights (once you readjust). Lost another half because I haven't actually shot it yet. It seems solid though, and doesn't rattle or wobble."

"Absolutely perfect fit on my WASR. Other reviews said they needed filing or other mods but it was perfect on my AK. It was snug even before i tightened the screws on the back. I give it 4 bullets simply because i haven't yet fully tested the mount under rapid fire. Good product, very cheap price...get it!"

"this was an awesome buy for me, i have a romanian wasr-10 , fits perfect, no adjustements needed"

"This part worked great, no sanding or filing. It was a perfect fit. I shot over 2000 rounds so far and no problems found. I could not be happier."

"I bought this and slapped on a Norinco MAK 90 with absolutely no modifications in less than a minute. It fits very snug with the set screws and holds zero perfectly. I absolutely love this receiver cover, and the fact that if my red dot malfunctions for whatever reason, I can still use the iron sights. I highly recommend this to all with a MAK 90. (NORINCO)"

"No mods to the cover, great fit."

"I mounted this on my Hungarian FEG SA-85, fit perfect. I mean it fit just like the original, maybe better. I mounted a BSA red dot sight on it and it works great. The only problem I have is that it mounts the optic pretty high and makes it difficult to keep a good cheek weld. But as far as the mount, at least for a Hungarian AK, it works great."

"This will not fit a Yugo underfolder, it is too long and grooves are different, Product is very well made. I really wanted this so I spent a couple hours with the dremmel tool and it know fits perfect. If you have the time go for it, but if not it will not fit a Yugo."

"Perfect fit on a Polish Tantal (5.45 X39). It took less than 10 minutes to install."
5.0 5
"I purchased this for my AK after reading the reviews. Very sold metal construction and installation was so easy slid right in tightened the screws and she was ready to roll. I put this on my WASR 3 .223 no issues what so ever and I highly recommend this to anyone that is considering this for their AK. Thanks CTD you did it again...great price super fast shipping and excellent product."

"I got this to replace the stock cover so I could mount a cheap BSA red dot. Wow this thing fits great. took 2 seconds to install. no shakes or rattles. You can use the iron sites with a scope mounted, the pass-through is small but shootable. Definitely fits good on a WASR 10."

"I have a romanian wasr 10 ak-47 underfolder all black it seems to be smaller then the traditional romanian wasr 10 ak-47 with the wood stock...This mount did not fit my rifle out of the box! I took it to my shop and with a little patience and a grinder and 4 hours later it fits perfect but have not tested it out yet!I am trying to figure out what scope i want to put on my rifle!Good luck!"

"Perfect Fit for my WASR 3...took me about 2 minutes to put it on and fits like a glove....Hooked up my red dot finder and all set for varmint hunting....."

"Fit great worked well if you arent going for accuracy, couldnt zero and scope mount fell off after 200 rounds."
5.0 5
"I put this on my Romanian under folder and it fit better than the original. The safety/dust cover not matches up better and it fit tighter even without turning the set screws in. Definitely worth it if you have an under folder with no side mount."

"Bought one for my Bulgarian SSR 85c. It snapped on like it was made for it. Mounted a Bushnell Sportview 4X on it and laser bore sighted it. Just ran 150 + rounds thru it and it held zero even after I removed it twice during shooting. It is pretty sturdy mount, even though there is a tiny bit of play after you tighten the back screws. That's why 4 bullets. It seems to be ok for now. We will see how it holds up."
1.0 5
"This part is no good. In order to clean your gun it has to be removed and it loses zero. screws and threads are also very cheap, theyll strip right out. Save your 15 bucks"
4.0 5
"Had mine for over three years with no major problems. The scope moved/rattled on the rail, but I eliminated that by placing small square cloths pieces (cleaning cloth thin) between the scope mounts and the rail. I hit my target with great accuracy I'm not complaining. If people want a super accurate AK, try getting one in .223."

"got the mount, took all of 5 minutes to put it on my norico mak 90,perfect fit, tight as a drum,,mounted and zeroed the scope, and it is still snug and shoots a 3 inch group from a standing rest,,wiggle on the short barrell rifle is a pain ,,but other than that its worth the money I paid,,,,,and seeing the iron sights is not a problem and no offset to rear elevating sight,,for me its a really good deal,,,,200 rounds and counting and no problems"
4.0 5
"This is a great mount i put on a yugo underfolder.Iam very impressed it fit like a glove and is very sturdy.I put on one of your leapers 3x9 scopes and my gun was zeroed in with only 5 shots.FOR $15.00 bucks you can not beat it if your gun does not have a side mount.C.T.D keep up the great work and keep the deals coming."
5.0 5
"I've had this piece mounted on my Century Arms (Romanian) AK-47 for two years now and I've had no problems with it. It fit my AK without any modification. It fits snug and doesn't losen after firing. Installing and removing may require a little patience but it does pop in and out of place when properly lined up. I've never had a loss of accuracy with this mount. It's well built and well worth $15."
4.0 5
"Fits very snug right behind the rear site, keeping it from moving much. The rear set screws on mine aren't long enough to hit anything to keep it from moving, this is not a problem though because it hardly moves. Feels very durable, and thick. Only problem I have, is that it leaves a 1/4\" gap between the cover and the fire selector. Not really a big deal, just have to watch so junk doesn't get up in there. The rings don't sit completely flush, but they are on there strong enough not to move."
5.0 5
"Used this mount with Leapers 4X32 scope to take a 175 lb, 8 point white tail at 105 yards. My AK is a Vector Arms Classic model. Mount fits snugly and is well worth the price. My \"assault rifle\" now functions as a true hunting rifle."
3.0 5
"I have a Romanian WASR 10/63 and this rail cover didnt fit over my spring stop and I didnt notice it until I shot my AK and it hit me in the forehead. Make SURE your spring stop is all the way through the back, if not, you'll end up with a cut in your face when you're aiming down the sights. I solved the problem by shaving off metal in the bottom of the spring stop hole with a dremel. The zeroing is alright but dont plan on long distance 2 inch grouping accuracy. Otherwise than that this cover is pretty good for a recreational rail cover."
1.0 5
"Does not fit underfolder...period! 3/4 to 1 full inch too long and must be ground or cut to even come close. Customer service said that they have received no complaints, but a quick peek at these reviews reveals that this is simply a lie.I have purchased items from CTD for quite a long time, but I am beginning to lose confidence in their products and their integrity based on the last three items purchased."
5.0 5
"Easy to install! Snapped right on my Bulgarian SA-2000M. It's tight, but I can still see the iron sights. Looks good too!"
4.0 5
"I received the scope mount promptly and had to do a bit of sawing and modification to get it to fit my Yugo underfolder. It is a nice, tight fit but the rings fit too high for true accuracy. I cannot sight it in with the see- thru rings that came with the mount. I mounted a 3-9 Leapers (rubberized) scope on the \"JEWEL\" and it sits too high. The scope is not compatible with the high , see-thru rings.Give me some feedback on how to remedy this problem."

"I purchased this with some hesitation, but I have had nothing but excellent use out of it. Just tighten the screws in the back and no worries."

"This fit my Romanian WASR 10 perfectly. Dont waste your money on a more expensive mount. This item is actually better than I expected. 5 minute tool-less install."

"I RECEIVED THE SCOPE MOUNT AND INSTALLED IT ON MY MAK-90 SPORTER (CHINESE MADE ) AND IT FIT GREAT. WHEN I TIGHTENED THE SET SCREWS THE MOUNT STILL HAD WOBBLE. I LOOKED IN THE PACKAGE THAT HAD EXTRA SET SCREWS, THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN LONGER AS STATED IN THE MOUNTING DIRECTIONS, BUT THEY WERE ALL THE SAME LENGTH AND HAD ONLY ONE SMALLER HEAD SCREW ? I WENT TO THE HARDWARE STORE AND BOUGHT 2 LONGER ALLEN HEAD SCREWS ( STAINLESS STEEL ),TIGHTENED THEM AND THE MOUNT SNUGGED UP PERFECT WITH NO WOBBLE. I HAVE NOT FIRED IT YET, BUT DON'T FORSEE ANY PROBLEMS. CHEAPER THAN DIRT NEEDS TO DO A BETTER JOB OF CHECKING OUT THE PARTS INCLUDED TO ASSURE CUSTOMER FAVORABLE REVIEWS. SEMPER FI , TOM"

"Slipped onto my Mac90 like a custom fit part. Tight as a drum. NO wiggle at all. Can use iron sights easily. Couldn't be a finer piece for any $$$. Super buy."

"Another rock solid product from Leapers. Fit my Century Arms WASR 10/63 pefectly! No filing, No nothing! I mounted an Eotech 552 and was rattling rounds out of it in no time flat! This product is a steal!"
4.0 5
"With some prudent use of a Dremel, it will work well on a MADDI. The spring retainer hole is undesized both top and bottom and the tab that fits into the sight trough is just a wee bit wide. Laser site in shows it to be pretty much on. We shall see how it shoots."
5.0 5
"THIS COVER/MOUNT SLIPPED RIGHT IN PLACE ON MY NORINCO MAK-90. NO FITTING WAS REQUIRED. I HAD TO PLAY WITH IT A COUPLE MINUTES TO GET THE SQUARE RELEASE BUTTON TO POP OUT ALL THE WAY, BUT WHEN IT DID...IT WAS VERY TIGHT. AFTER TIGHTENING THE SET SCREWS THE MOUNT HAD NO MOVEMENT WHAT SO EVER. I INSTALLED A RED DOT SO I DIDNT NEED THE RINGS...BUT THEY ARE NICE RINGS IF YOU NEED THEM. THIS SYSTEM IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY IF YOU DONT HAVE SIDE MOUNTS ON YOUR RIFLE. YOU CAN SEE YOUR IRON SIGHTS BUT CANT SEE MUCH THROUGH THE NARROW TUNNEL."
3.0 5
"If you own a yugo m-70 b1 or m-70 b2 this will not fit then cover is to long and the side oppisite the ejection port is not cut write for the weapon if you want to make it work you will need to do some serious mods to it."
5.0 5
"AFTER READING THE REVIEWS, I DECIDED TO TRY THIS THING. IT SLIPPED ON IN LESS THAN 30 SECONDS WITH NO PROBLEMS. HAVEN'T TRIED TO SHOOT IT WITH A SCOPE YET, BUT I'M NOT WORRIED. IT IS SOLID ON MY WASR-10, SO I THINK THE SCOPE WILL BE ASLO. DEFINITELY WORTH THE MONEY."

"I installed this on my customized MAK-90 in about 2-minutes. I then mounted a EOTECH 512 on it and it worked perfect! Great price for the fit and function you get out of this product."

"I got htis for my WASR10 GP-63 and it went right on the first try. Perfect, actually. There's a front plate that slips onto the rear sight in between the sights mounting bottom plate and the adjustable part of the sight itself - to better hold this cover in place. Two set screws are also optional, for holding it in the back, but it fits snug just with the bolt spring button like the factory cover uses. Very good design (for my gun at least). The rivets on mine look kinda spot welded (which is good) it doesn't look like it will shake apart like the other peice of crap CTD offers (Item AKS 012 - DONT BUY IT!).I didn't use the scope rings, I used the rail alone to mount a BSA red dot on. Fit's like it's supposed to.All in all it fits like a glove on my rifle and the best part is that I can still use my iron sights because the rail is hollow.KICK ASS! 5 bullets from me so far (because it hasn't fallen apart, we'll see what happens later though). Exactly what I was looking for, and it wasn't expensive like I expected something of the sort to be."
5.0 5
"This product works GREAT! fits my Ak WASR-10/63 like a glove! I put a BSA Red DOt on it and it looks killer. Didin't need the rings but i have them when i need them. Great price!"

"pretty solid, only needed minor bend at front lead to go snug on receiver. With good red dot/holo makes for overall valuable addition to the ol' boom-cannon, plus u can still see down the rail/iron sights."

"i have a slr-95 fit great had to bend the tab that gose under the sight but good fit."

"Put this on my Norinco Mak-90 and it fit like it was made for it. Don't know about other AK's but if you have a Mak-90 this is the one you want."
3.0 5
"great idea it was this ora front grip rail so i bought both for my red dot. but this one came in last great construction very sturdy but sits WAY to high up if you like to rest your cheek on the stock like your suposed to dont plan on it with this i cound set my chin on the stock an was still to low to look threw the scope. with a red dot not a huge problem but if your putting a true scope on use this as a last option."

"Mount out of the box onto Bulgarian AK 74, PERFECT fit!. Attached secure no wiggle. Mount even had extra screws. Great product!!! Kaleu"

"Ordered it on Saturday, got it on Thursday. Fit right on my Saiga 308 with no mods. Only 4 bullets for now because I'm waiting to see how it holds up at the range. Last AK side mount broke and rattled apart from the 308 recoil."
5.0 5
"Just updating my review to 5 bullets because it held up great at the range. This mount is riveted to the dust cover so it will NOT rattle apart. And if you have a Saiga and need a mount, buy this one."
5.0 5
"Very quick shipping as usual. I have a Romanian AK and it installed perfectly and effortlessly. Fit is very tight. I have not taken it to the range yet but it is very encouraging so far. I will put a red dot on it and see what happens but I expect no problems. Recommend it."
5.0 5
"UPDATE: After hundreds of rounds thorugh my AK, even bump-firing it, this product held up great. Rivets didn't come apart, I think it was spot-welded.Keep in mind I didn't mount a scope, I mounted a BSA RedDot. I can't say that a fragil scope won't shake off zero or not but my RedDot stayed on target @~ 100yds."
4.0 5
"Went on my MAK-90 without any mods. Would have given it 5 bullets but my disappointment was in the rail was fitted for weaver style mounts and not the picatiny. Good visiblility when using iron sights. definitely use the set screws when using a scope to help keep the movement down."
5.0 5
"I bought this mount I don't even know how long ago. It fits my Norinco NHM 91 just fine and works great! And you can still use iron sights for close shots. Can't use iron sights for adjustments more than 300 yards on mine, but then again why would I? I have a scope. I saw someone complaining that it sits high. And it is slightly high. But not enough to matter, especially if your using a cheek pad. My scope sits back slightly to far for my \"perfect\" comfort, But it is due to a screw on my scope adjustment hitting the rail. Which is a scope problem, not the mount. And this mount takes no more than 30 seconds to install or remove. So it's an A+ for me!"
5.0 5
"I put this mount on my Wasr 10, along with a red dot scope. The mount is very solid, much thicker than the original cover. I am very happy with how tight it fits, even better than original, which had a slight wobble. The screws in back ensure a tight fit while shooting. I love the fact that I can still use the original sights if I needed to, in the event of battery failure. Awesome product, super fast shipping, A+ for CTD!"
5.0 5
"Ordered one of these to mount a red dot on the rear of my AK-47. Works great. If you notice in the picture there is a little metal piece that sticks out further than the cover on the front. This confused me, i thought it was not going to fit. But that piece is made to slide under your iron site, once i found that out, she snapped on like it was ment to be. Good product, seems fairly stable. havent shot with it yet, but im happy with my purchase."
4.0 5
"i bought this part for my lancaster arms ak 47 and it fit great the screws striped on the scope rings but not a huge deal overall very happy with it"
3.0 5
"Looks and feels real solid, fit right on my MAK-90 with no problem, was able to use the iron sight in case of battery failure, just like most of the reviews. I'm not sure how many of them really took it out and gave it a real test. After about 70 rounds sighting in my red dot and irons, the cover came off twice within a very short period of time and broke my NEW red dot ( not very pleased about that ). I would highly suggest using this for some time before mounting a sight or scope to this. For me, what sounded to be a nice $15 fix to mount my red dot ended up costing me a lot more than that. I will see about doing some modification to it and hope it stays on without further incident. I will think twice about buying replacement parts for a gun here."
5.0 5
"Just received it yesterday have yet to fire it. I'm so satisfied I decided to write the review anyway. It installed with no problems very quickly on my American model. It is easily seven times better than the original in every aspect. Great value. -3p outdoor expert"
4.0 5
"I was concerned about using this high of a mount but I wanted to be able to still use the iron sights to learn how to use my 7.62 Saiga. Even with the scope being back mounted all the way and dialed down completely I could not hit the paper. So depending on the setup you may need to shim this mount if shooting and dialing in under 100 yds."
3.0 5
"I got this for my YUGO M70 AB2 and just my luc it was half an inch longer than the cover on my gun. After a little work with the chop saw and grinder it now fits perfectly. I havent taken it to the range yet so my rating may change after 200 rounds."
4.0 5
"I would say that I am glad that I read the reviews before purchasing this product, although there were some that didn't think that the product was that great. I think that it is a solid piece of material, but overall a lot better than the factory piece. I slid the piece in, screwed the rear pieces in to secure, and it was solid. I have shot about 200 rounds through it today to test durability and have to say that it is a hell of a deal for the price, but more importantly a good accessory for the AK I own. Thanks for the advice from everyone, because I almost purchased the other one available"
4.0 5
"This is Sturdy and light and has great welds. This mount fit and I was excited only to find out that there is a little bit of play on the end of the receiver towards the rear sight post. I corrected the issue by placing some filler in the area it was loose and it fixed the issue. I haven\uFFFDt shot my AK with this dust cover on it yet so will post more later."
4.0 5
"For $15 I figured what the heck. It fit right onto my rifle but there were two problems. First, the rail was bent to the left so I put the cover end into a vise and using my hands, I bent the rail until it was straight. Second, the screws at the back are going into some very thin metal with only about three or four threads so do not over tighten or you will strip them (I did; very embarrassing considering that I am a mechanic).I fired about 200 rounds with this cover and it never fell off or loosened. The screws just apply pressure to stabilize the cover, if your cover is falling off it must be because the \"button\" on the spring is not completely catching the cover. I suggest using a small pair of channel locks and a file to adjust the opening in the cover. Also, for the price, buy two so that you have one for a spare, that is what I am doing."
5.0 5
"I bought this about a year ago. I was looking for a mount for a red dot sight for my CAI WASR-10. I noticed these at my local gun show but for $25. I then came to CTD and found it for less with scope rings. I couldn't pass up that price. When I received it I was amazed. The fitment of the dust cover was actually better than the stock one from CAI even without the 2 little screws. I have fired about 1,000 rounds or more through my WASR-10 since then and not once has the dust cover rattled or came loose and I have yet to put on the tightening screws. Best buy for my WASR-10 ever."

"I bought this item for my wasr 10/63 ak47 because I did not like the side rail mount that they sell because it's too bulky and looks ugly by the side. I was first sceptical because I thought it would fit loose but it did not, it fit very tight , tighter than the factory one, I did not even have to use the provided screws. The mount and dust cover is very strong , I would say it's twice the thickness of the factory dust cover. It is also a black matte color darker than the rest of my rifle. If you purchase item you will not be dissapointed. Utg makes great mounts. I will mount a red dot on it."
4.0 5
"I have a Yugo underfolder and the dust cover is about 2\" to long. I used a dremel and trimmed it down, made a couple of other adjustments and it is TIGHT! Rock solid! Much better in every aspect compared to the factory dust cover. Worth the money. I will write a new review after I fire it with a red dot and a 3x9-50 scope."

"I bought this for my WASR. I was already pretty iffy about this product before I bought it, but I decided to purchase this anyway. First off, it did not fit! I figured it was going to be a easy install, however it was not. Second, I had to take a file to it. When I was done filing it and fitting it, it was nice and tight. I mounted my Eotech onto it, and zeroed it in. However, I decided to take it off and see how well it will hold the zero. Just as I thought, the zero was off. I can blame my horrible inexperience gunsmithing, however the product did not even fit in the first place. So I purchased the UTG SIDE MOUNT and it works great."

"Ok, I did not care for this scope mount whatsoever. This mount will not give you the accuracy needed, and I should have known before I bought/installed it. Play with your reciever cover you have on your AK. Notice it has some \"play in movement?\" This means less accuracy. However, this product does have two Phillips head set-screws where the release is, to lessen the \"play.\" Problem is, the threads tapped into the cover are easy to strip. Tighten it down too hard and goodbye accuracy. Also, I like to clean my weapons. Often. Each time you loosen the screws, and remove the cover to access the reciever, guess what: you are not zeroed in when you put it back together. Why zero your rifle in everytime you clean your rifle, or get bored and decide to dismantle it and put back together blind-folded? Your best bet, if you have the left sided scope mount, is to by the scope mount that attaches to the left side, and goes up and over. If you don't have the side mounted scope mount, say hello to Maggy for me. Only two bullet rating because some people don't have the side mount, and this is their only option."

"This one holds up so far. 200 rounds. Exact mount to my WASR. Spot welded rivets make it strong. Free rings to boot."
4.0 5
"Mounted it on my 82 Romanian AK and it fits snug and has no play whatsoever...red dot scope mounted on it and still zero after 200 rounds...snaps right on and the two set screws make for a tighter fit than the factory...must buy!"

"Okay, I put this on my WASR 10 today and it fits like a glove. The thing is, when I pull the bolt back this thing holds it in the the rear position. Slap down on the little handle and it slams forward as usual. And it fires normally. 80 rounds so far and no misfires or glitches. I'm not sure if this is supposed to work like that or not. I haven't read any other reviews talking about something like this."

"I bought this for my Yugo (knowing it would have to be modified). Good construction and after some grinding, fit like a charm. Hold zero after hundreds of rounds and doesn't come loose. However, in my opinion it sits WAY too high for use with a scope. You can still use the iron sights, which at the end of the day is a nice feature, but it's harder to get that good consistent sight picture, when you have to keep your head up an extra inch to see the scope. The next problem was none of my scopes even will adjust low enough to be on target! I had to pad the rear mount to get it to adjust down far enough. Good mount in theory, I just wouldn't use it for a scope, maybe a different accessory."

"I purchased the item and the shipping was great. Sadly after I bought the item I realized that it was not a good place to mount an optic for the AK. It is very heavy and the dust cover release doesnt pop all the way out. I'm returning it. Also came with cool CTD magizine and donations I will make for the greater good of our soldiers!"

"I have a folding stock M70 Yugo, this mount needed about half an inch of metal removed from the front to work on this gun. Once I slowly removed metal I was able to make it fit tight. I mounted a red dot scope also bought at CTD and it worked perfect. I was able to six inch group at 125 yrds no problem. If you buy it be ready to do a little work to it with a dye grinder or Dremmel but for me it was absolutely worth it.. My friends who live by AR's now want an AK with this setup."

"i was not very happy about it, its a good idea but it needs work to get a tight fit."

"I have a Yugo M70. It WILL NOT fit as is. I had to hack saw about half an inch off. Also I had to cut several notches out of various places for everything to fit. However, after about an hour and a half worth of work, it fits tight as can be (tighter than than original dust cover), and my red dot scope does not move at all. Worth the money because it is so cheap, but you will need a hack saw and a file---or maybe a Dremel tool with the right attachments."

"I have a Century Arms GP 1975 AK-47. There was a small gap between this and the safety switch. It does have 2 Allen screws, so it won't move. Over all this is a pretty good product."

"This does not fit a Yugo without modification. Worked it out and got it to fit nice and snug. Once mounted, I have not been able to find a CCO or scope that I can get a good sight picture on. I gave a rating of 2 for this reason. It IS nice to be able to see the iron sights though"

"After going to the range and firing 2 dozen rounds its obvious this thing will not hold zero and the top rail is crooked and wont straighten out. It looks cool but its just not functional."

"The cover is much more solid than the flimsy oringinal. Fit my AK like a factory part. Very tight fit for a Romanian style stamped reciever. As my AK doesn't have a side rail mount, this is a good cheap solution. I mounted an inexpensive red dot on top and find it to be good enough for CQB. Besides, this product will allow you to use your iron sights just as if your original dust cover was still installed. Awesome for the price."

"I had to do to file down a small portion at the end of the part but it fits pretty good now. Took about 5 mins but there is some play in the bolt now. I just shot 30 rounds through it and idk if its just me but it felt like the recoil was a lot worse. I'd still get the part for a cheap way to mount a scope or red dot."

"I bought this because of the price. It was cheap. Is far happy with it. It took some pushing to get it onto my Saiga 12 gauge shotgun, and some rubber mallet taps to get the retaining button to pop out far enough to hold, but wasn't a hard job (5 minutes tops). It feels good and tight, the way it should. Will probably buy another for my other AKs."

"Ordered this for my Mak-90 . Easy installation very happy with the mount. Took it to the range and zeroed my scope with no problems. Be sure that it snaps in place {mine was a good tight fit so I am not sure that it needs the set screws but I used them anyway} and tighten the set screws. Fast shipping."

"Amending earlier review. Put it on my Saiga 12 gauge. Looked awesome, felt good and tight. Took it to the range. The front of the dust cover kept popping out. I played with it for a while, but couldn't get it to work. If you permanently fix it to the gun, it might be fine, but I want to be able to clean mine."

"I bought this to try out with my Century GP1975. It went on easy and never got loose once even though it sits right above the recoil spring and bolt carrier. After about 1,000 rounds only saw very mild rubbing where the bolt carrier comes out of the gas tube. The iron sights definitely can still be used too. It's worth giving a shot, literally, for the price!"

"I like this item. The rail is nicely secured to the dust cover and it has a peep site under the rail that is perfect! It fits my Romanian AK perfect."

"The mount fit better than I thought it would for the price. The bad boy fit like a champ. I was worried that the mount would wobble around but after seeing the set screws on the rear of the mount (the pictres doesn't show the screws) my fears were no more. I would recomend this to anybody that has WASR-10."

"For the pros: It took only 24 hours to get to my door. Thank you, CTD. It is a great idea. It felt great, looks great and iswell made. The two screws lock it in place solid with no movement at all. The cons: I only ran twenty rounds to zero my sight, which I could never do. I was always low and to the right at 20 yards, at 50 yards I could not hit the paper. I do have a laser that is set to zero at 100 yards and can not line the two up. I ran out of adjustment. I will order and try it one more time on my MAK-90 because it is such a great idea, and a good price."

"This AK-47 cover with a tactical rail and scope mounts works great. I can slide my scope on the rail and I can now use the weaver rings on my AR or another rifle! Perfect fit and it took 20 seconds to snap on."
1.0 5
"I now own two of the bolt covers with rails by UTG. They will not line up to zero a scope on my MAK-90. They are cheap so order one. If it works on your AK, that's great, if not you only lost 15 bucks and a chance to put a scope on your AK. If you have the side mounting system use that. They have a rail that works great with the side mount. I don't so I will keep looking."

"Gotta say, with a 2 minute install time (was a little rough as the front end fit a little TOO snug to start. Just needed some grunting for a minute) and an essentially unlimited number of fun stuff to tag onto my nice new WASR 10, this was absolutely worth such a small cost. User friendly instructions (if you can't figure it out on your own) included."

"Received mount quickly. Very well made, which really didn't expect. Extremely easy to mount lift up rear of cover slightly pitched position palm slam and its all good. Rear allen set screws a major plus, super sturdy fit. First purchase CTD most definitely will not be the last ,very pleased. Thank you CTD."

"I bought this for two reasons: First, I have aluminum quad rail forearm and some optics mounted to this will melt off after repeated rapid fire. (yes, this has already happened). Second, I have a Romanian WASR10 underfold so having a side mount is not an option. I bought this mount and installed a 4x16x40 scope on it. It fit perfect and very tight, (I would suggest blue Loctite on the screws) after 1000 rounds I have saw no defects and it has held zero."
1.0 5
"I baught one of these for my romanian AK to mount a red dot sight. It seemed like it really would have worked great until I tried to sight it in, The rail was so dounhill twards the barel that at only 25\" away, with the dot adjusted up as high as it would go, was still hitting about 8\" low with no way to bring it any higher!"

"I admit I was hesitant after reading the reviews as they were a mixed lot. But for $14.95 I just could not resist giving it a shot to see how it would work. I put it on my MAK90. It took just a bit of effort, more just messing with it rather than force (and a thin screwdriver) to get at just the right angle, but once I figured that out, it snapped right in good and tight.. I went ahead and tightened down the screws on the back but I am not sure that I really need it as I said before, it snapped in tight. I installed on it a $19.99 fixed power Leapers/UTG 100 Yard scope, and it holds tight, and holds zero. I have to admit it looks pretty dogone good also."

"GOT THIS FOR MY MAK 90 AND IT FIT REALLY GOOD. MOUNTED THE SCOPE AND OFF TO THE RANGE I WENT. PERFECT, NO PROBLEMS. i DID HAVE TO BEND THE FRONT PIECE STICKING OUT ON THE MOUNT UP SO IT WOULD FIT , NO BIG DEAL. IT LOOKS A LOT BETTER THAN THE SIDE MOUNT ANY DAY. IF YOU OWN A MAK 90 THIS IS THE MOUNT TO GET FOR A SCOPE."

"I mounted this on a mak 90 and it fit great. Be careful tightening the two set screws, used a little poor man's loctite, nail polish, sighted in at 200 yds 3 inch group, then shot 300 rounds and still holds zero, nice mount."

"Fits the Draco pistol perfectly. Scope stayed zeroed at 25 yards even after 200 rounds."
1.0 5
"This mount seems to be solid but the entire mount moves slightly. I shoot every week and am very well versed in mounting a scope. After trying for an hour to hold a group at 50 yards I realized that the group would move every time I pulled the action back. Cheaper Than Dirt would take it back but I had thrown out the packaging and they would charge a 25% restocking fee. After paying the shipping to me and back to them I would end up paying them to take it back. Go with the side mount if that is an option. That's what Ill be doing."
1.0 5
"All sets of screws stripped after 50 rounds. The reciever is too short and I could move it back and forth. If I tightened the screws as tight as they will go without stripping, they would jest get stripped by the recoil of the gun. I was doing a 30 round mag dump and the reciever bent at the front, it broke my rear iron sight and if I shot one more round it would of hit me in the face. Mabye I was just unlucky, I would pick the side mount for sure, its more stable and reliable."

"I purchased this item and it fit my Draco perfectly. Plus side I use the scope mounts I used for my tactical flashlight(s) check out my vid.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6qpR9dejUg on the downside it has 2 holes at the rear. I have the blackjack buffer to keep metal to metal slapping and the screws do not go in all the way in. Thinking of removing them any way. I just do not want any blow back in my FACE. I am very satisfied with my purchase just not the holes."

"I put this on my MAK-90 After trying two other ones. Third times was a charm. I sent the second one back to CTD and got the third one. It works great. I went to the hardwear store and got some set screws to replace the cap screws it is a much cleaner look. I added some blue LOC TITE as well it holds zero fine. I ran 3 - 75 rnd drums threw the gun in less than 30 min and it held up great. If you order one keep the box it comes in to ship it back CTD has a shipping tag in the box to send it back. And that is why we love CTD thanks."

"Fits my WASR 10 like a glove!!! SOOO much nicer and better quality than the original reciever cover my WASR came with.... I actually bought because my original cover was so poorly made, the safty lever wouldnt catch and could be raised beyond \"safe\" position...This MUCH higher quality cover stops the saftey correctly.I am SOOOO satisfied, If you have a WASR 10/63 you will be too!!"

"Solid as a rock! Took the rings off and installed a red dot scope with laser. Can still see the OEM sights too. LOVE IT!!!"

"This works fine on my AK, snug fit with only tiny adjustments needed. This is, after all a $15 stamped steel part. Even the best manufacturing tolerances on this type of production will allow variations that some guys have complained about, such as running out of scope adjustment and so forth. There could be easy fixes for some of these issues by use of shims under the front for raising it up or perhaps some grinding of the rear at the contact of the reciever that would accomplish the same idea. One could possibly add shims to the scope rings as well. .010\" scope front ring upward adjustment at 100 yards could make all the difference you need."

"I guess if you dont have a rail on your receiver to mount a scope to an AK properly, this is an okay option. Forget the \"tightening screws\". They are cumbersome at best and not worth it. I just bought this to investigate different ways of mounting optics on an ak, and won't buy another. Wouldn't trust the stability for shooting beyond 25 yards."

"This item was purchased to lessen the long wait for a Texas Weapons Dog Leg.For the price this cover is made thicker and looks better than stock. It also sits the perfect height for a reflex sight. I tightened the set screws by hand, then added a little torque with the provided wrench.... it fits nice and secure with no play. Overall this set up makes my WASR AK look amazing, if it holds up under rapid fire I won't be using the dog leg. It should hold up just fine."

"Was about 2mm too short to fit under the forward guide on my receiver. I traded it to a local dealer on a gun purchase."

"Fits well right out of the box on my old Norinco. I might try to drill & tap the rear reciever block to accept the locking screws for a rock-solid fit. The stamped threaded holes in the cover don't look like they will stand up to a lot of stress."

"I have a Dracco ak-47 and it fits better than orginal dust cover, even looks are better. haven't shot with the new cover on it yet but just from the feel its gonna last and hold a zero. For the price I recommened this product to anyone. Thanks CheaperThanDirt!"

"Recieved this today, went to the range and fired 80 rnds. This mount held zero the whole time. locked right into place out ot the box. Used on my arsenal AK ssr 85-c Fantistic mount, no role no play. If you have a well built AK and want to scope it, Buy this. CTD was fast and the right price."

"I installed this on my romannian wasr 10, at first it looked great and held my red dot perfectly. I went to a range and fired a first magazine to find out that evidently the screws in the back had worked themselves out and the whole damn thing had moved and I was off center. I tightened them up and since I didnt have my laser bore sight, I just basically tried to sight it in the old fashioned way. I tried, and it was pointless. THEN the damn thing came back smacked me in my face. I now am going to get the side mount, and since the factory dust cover never moved and worked perfectly I will just use that forever. This thing may work for some, but the idea that you have to use the back 2 screws to tighten it down so that there is no play is rediculous if you want to zero in your scope. the thing sits high also. I would guarantee I would have to mess with trying to get it centered every time I take the damn thing off to clean or anthing. It may work for some other forms of AK's but I see other reviews of people having trouble with their romanian ak. Like always there was fast shipping from CTD. People try to sell these at local stores and ebay more than CTD so if you want to buy it, do it from CTD. Or dig it out of my trash can."

"I've had this on my WASR10 for over 2 years now with not one problem. Does what its suppose to do and its only 10 dollars. Looks good too and feels solid. I originally went with this because I wanted a solid base to mount a scope on instead of an attachment and got what I'd hoped for. CTD delivers on time like nobody's business."

"First off, I'm an idiot. Now that I got that out of the way.I purchased this because I hated the iron sights on my AK47, but I still wanted to retain the ability to use them. This mount allows the user attach optics, but allows the user to still use the standard iron sights on the AK47. First off, the finish of this part is slightly off from the finish on my AK47, not super noticeable nor did it really matter to me. The part went on in a snap; so that was another plus, easy installation. Upon taking it to the range I experienced a problem; initially the mount was very tight on my weapon and I didn't think about using the screws, I'm new to the AK47 so when I didn't see holes for the screw to go into I just assumed that I didn't (couldn't) use them. After going though a magazine or two I noticed that everything had come lose; the mount began to wobble and the screws on my optics backed out. I tightened up the screws on my red dot scope, but from then on out I couldn't get consistent shots. I finally decided to try using the shortest screw the kit came with and what do you know, the mount fits securely with no wobble! I'm happy with this mount now and would recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive mounting system for their AK.My review isn't intended for the guys that know everything about this gun, it's more for guys like me who don't know much about this weapon. The mount attached easily, but be sure to use the screws supplied with the part. I imagine using some loctite might prevent the screws from backing out should you have that problem?"

"Bought this for my Inter Ordinance AK47. Works perfect. I had no problems installing. Solid, has no play even before tightening the stabilizing screws. Comes with Allen keys and extra set of screws. Flat black finish. A must buy for those with standard AK's and don\uFFFDt want to go to a gunsmith. Hey, you can\uFFFDt beat that price."

"Got the mount because the iron sights are worthless. Replaced the original cover with the mount, put on a Bushnell 3x9 scope and laser-bore sighted the gun. Went to the range and was shooting 1 inch groups at 50 yards with cheap surplus ammo. At 100 yards, my gun was shooting 1 1/2 to 2 inch groups consistently. Went home and cleaned the gun thoroughly and went back to the range the following week. No problem, point of aim did not change. Have been to the range multiple times and taken the mount on and off several times with no change in point of impact. This is a great mount for the money and will improve your shooting."

"This fit my WASR easily after a 5 min Dremel grind. My scope fits great and I can still using iron sights through it."

"This works great with my Yugo M70ab2. Although I did have to file about a half inch off the front, taking my time I spent about 30 minutes filing then fitting until it was perfect. I mounted a $40 dot scope from ctd. This thing holds zero perfect, until you have to remove it to clean. I was able to get a 6 inch group at 100yd with this and the leaper dot scope. My friends like shooting mine more than their ar's now. I would recommend this mount for the price."

"I bought this bolt cover replacement a few days ago for my Romanian AK. The only problem is this piece is mass produced so it is unlikely it will fit your AK right out of the box. I spent about 15min with a flat file grinding back of the cover down to get a proper fit. (if you have a dremil tool you could do this in 5min probably). After I got it filed down it fit snuggly and seems as sturdy as the oem cover. I have shot the gun with it on yet but I would recommend this rail to all AK owners."
3.0 5
"This mount does just fine. If you\uFFFDre looking for precision get the sidemount, it\uFFFDs more stable and just better. Of course if you wanted precision you probably shouldn't have gotten an AK. Also, I had to do a lot of filing to get it to fit my norinco AK; on the front and safety slide wouldn't click until I filed down. So after a lot filing the finish looked like crap so I had to repaint it. So if you have a norinco be prepared to do some extra work."

"Best thing in the world, fit my STG 2001 C like a glove, better than the orig. Took 5 min to install, no grinding or filing."

"Fit perfect on my WASR10/63, I expected to have to file it down. I really like the fact that you can still use your iron sights. Some people might be bothered by the fact that it isn't exactly the same black as thier gun, it's slightly more shiny then my ak, a can of spray paint could fix that I guess."

"Put this on my bulgarian with ATI dragunov stock. Even after many boxes of ammo trying to sight in my scope, it held very tight and true. It actually exceeded my expectations."

"I was a little skeptical about buying this cover because of some of the previous reviews. I bought this for my WASR 10/63 and it fit like a glove, no trimming or filing. It fit nice and tight and the extra tension screws weren't even needed but still used them. Also the rings that come with it are pretty decent I used those first then ended up swapping them out with quick release holders. Overall a great product definitely recommend it."

"I bought this mount after many days of looking and reading thru reviews on multiple websites. I am very pleased with the way these mounts are built. Installed in less than 5min and holds my UTG red/green dot CQB sight without movement and held strong even after 500 rounds of ammo."

"Great idea, bad execution. Works great without a scope for 100 rounds. Added a hunting scope, sighted it in with three 5 round groups, moved back to 100 yards, and the first 25 rounds were good, but then I couldn't get it on paper. The mount had moved completely off the front, even with the screws all the way in. I changed the screws to longer ones and still no joy."

"Got my initial test done with this. Fit my Romanian AK-47 after a little bit of modification of the front. The tab was a hair too long. The finish is nice but way too glossy for my AK. Nothing a little high heat epoxy spray paint didn't fix. Overall happy. Needs some work, but not a bad little project or add on."

"Fit my WASR 10 perfectly. I love the raised rail so my iron sights can be used, but hate the shiny gloss! The other two I ordered were blued, not painted. Shouldn't have changed them!"

"Reasonably well made dust cover. Needed substantial milling for a Zastava PAP and would not hold stable enough to zero a scope. Side rail or Samson mount is my next step. Despite my disappointment in the hardware, flawless Customer Service from CTD though!"

"Had all kinds of trouble with this. I put it on and did what needed to be done to it. Went to sight in my new EOTech red dot sight and the cover flew off the gun on the first shot, hit me in the head, fell to the floor, and broke my new red dot sight. I lost out on my cover and red dot sight, for when it hit the floor, it broke my new red dot sight that cost me $675. Needless to say, I was upset. I say that the AK-47 weaver mount is junk."

"Works perfectly after 1,000+ rounds. No movement, rock solid. Red dot says zeroed. Installed properly on the MAK-90. This works outstandingly well. Visible iron sights a must of any rifle. Buy it now."

"I have an underfolding stock and this product fit perfectly. Love it. My AK is just right now. Mix of old and new."

"Only thing I don't like is the glossy finish on the cover. It was simple to install and required no alterations or fitting of any kind on my Romanian WASR-10. It fit securely without rocking, even before tightening the hex screws on the back. Haven't fired with it on yet, but I see no reason for it to loosen or rock. It's as solid as the original cover."
4.0 5
"Fit this on a Mak-90. Fit is great, snapped right on with zero modification. Put a UTG 30mm red/green dot on there and it feels rock solid. The screw holes are deeper than the actual cover, and I'm not sure if that is a change from previous reviews. AKs are not tack drivers to begin with. This is plenty solid for a battle/range rifle. I don't have a side rail for a scope mount, so this is as good as it gets. Very satisfied with this purchase. For the money, UTG is GTG in my book!"

"Had all kinds of trouble with this. I put it on and did what needed to be done to it, according to the instructions. Went to sight in my new AK with my new Accushot Swat Compact IE Scope and the screws on the back of the cover kept coming loose. I got Loctite and put on the screws, but it did not help. Front of cover tab that rests under iron sights moved all over. Needless to say, I was not able to sight in the weapon. I say that the AK Weaver mount is a waste of money and time."

"Bought this UTG mount for my Saiga AK in 7.62x39mm and I have to say it fit like a glove. No extra modification to make it fit. It replaced original dust cover easy. Put RD30 red dot sight on and it is nice to use iron sites as well as the red dot. CTD seems to have the best deals online."

"I have two, one on my Draco and one on my MAK-90. I used non-reflective, heat resistant paint to cover up the shiny black paint. Many rounds through both with no slipping issues. Holds 0! Don't miss out on this. The see through feature is awesome!!!"

"Installed on my brand new I.O. Hellhound AK-47 built in North Carolina (Polish Specifications). Slight tap with a rubber mallet to the back of the dust cover and it seated just fine. Don't really know why I needed to tighten the two screws on the rear of the dustcover since it was very tight with no wobble. Mounted a Redfield Gold 5 Star, 1 x 4 variable and I was good to go. The iron sight see-through feature is great."
