"I bought 4 boxes of this ammo. It was super cheap for JHP, so I wanted to check it out. This company also sells reloads, so I thought for this price, these may be reloads. Not the case, all new, good accuracy, and no failures of any kind. I'm ordering more."

"I ordered 4 boxes (200rds). These rounds feed very well with my G17. No issues whatsoever. I had very tight groupings at 7, 10, 15 and 25 yards. Great price, fast delivery and great preformance. Thank CTD I will be ordering another 1000 rounds next week."

"I too bought 200 rds of this ammo to shoot through my Glock 17. The ammo is new and in excellent condition. Shoots clean and does have great groupings. Highly recommended, can't go wrong with this ammo. I recommend stocking up on it, I am."

"Bought 600 rounds, fired the all with no issues from my carbine. A little dirty but very reliable and would buy more."

"This is a good buy and the rounds all looked good. I just shot 100 of these at the range without issues. This is a little dirty ammo but who cares it did it's job, when I pulled the trigger."

"I bought a box of these to try them out. They all fed perfectly in my 4\" Sigma SW9VE, and my brother's 3\" Taurus Millenium. They had a fairly large cavity for the hollow point compared to some Federal 115 grain JHP, and Prvi Partizan 147 grain JHP that I was trying out at the same time. I took off one bullet because the recoil made it difficult to get back on target quickly. Otherwise, great stuff. My rounds were nickel plated. Not sure if that is the norm for these rounds. They were brand new, not reloads."

"For the money these are a good choice for self defense. I didnt do any expansion tests but cycles fine in my XD's."

"I purchased two boxes of this BVAC ammo and it came actually with two different type of bullets regular JHP and truncated cone hollow point. Both shot flawlessly and are a great value! I had zero problems with my Hi Point 9mm. Thanks CTD!"

"Bought a box to run through my 92fs and was pleasantly suprised at the quality and performance. Turns frozen green tomatoes into green mist with the first shot at 10 yards if I do my part. Absolutely powerful enough for self-defense if you're confident with your sidearm. Oh, and cheap enough to find out for yourself how good it is. Buy it and never regret it."

"200 rounds thus far with no problems. Cleaner than many more expensive brands. Nice expansion. Go Ahead and give these a shot, you won't be dissapointed. (Hi-point 9mm Carbine AND Taurus 24/7 Pro DS 4in.)"

"Tested a box in a Beretta 92. Minimal recoil. Wasn't dirty or smokey. No feeding problems and every cartridge fired. For me, practicing with a home defense load is more important than having the deadliest hollow point known to man. At < $14 a box (of 50, not 25), I can actually practice with this stuff. I also don't need a +p since I figure I will have enough compression for the expansion with a full length barrel. The biggest problem I am having is trusting my life to a brand I have not heard of. I will be buying some more boxes. If I can get through 100 rounds without a FTF than this will be my home defense ammo. I get one single bad primer or load, it's on to something else; probably the Federal Hi-Shok at $17 for 50. Technically it is good so far. If the quality is there, this is it."

"I bought 500 rounds of this ammo to test it out. I am very pleased with it. I did not do any precision accuracy tests or expansion tests, but I did sight the gun in with the ammo, and the 15 yard groups were very tight with many holes touching. All 500 rounds performed flawlessly in my Kimber Gold Match II 9mm, full-size 1911. Recoil was light, and the ammo is not particularly dirty. While I keep some higher end ammo around, this is the stuff I really like to shoot at paper targets and steel plates. I bought a couple thousand rounds after the first batch. I would highly recommend trying this ammo."

"Wanted some standard pressure JHP's for my Kahr cw9.Have bought other calibers from BVAC and have always been very pleased. This ammo is no exception. If your CCW is a semi-auto, the pistol/ammo combo has to be 100% reliable. Your life may depend on it. So far this ammo has been 100%. Accurate, clean and it chambers, fires and ejects every time. So unless I have a problem in the future, this is my ammo of choice. The price also lets me practice with the ammo I'm going to carry in this pistol. I feel that's important. So a big thanks to BVAC for another fine product, and to CTD for great service and prices."

"I bought a box to try in my Kahr CM-9. No misfeeds, no failure to fire--just perfect performance. It's inexpensive enough to use as range ammo, but with hollow point expansion."

"Bought this along with 6 other brands to run through my new SCCY CPX-2, to see what it liked. Everything but the TULA shot well. But, I was very pleasantly surprised that the BVAC was noticeably more accurate. With the great price, I've found a new favorite ammo. Does anyone know where I could find some info on ballistics, expansion, etc?"

"I gave four stars, but it's actually very good ammo. It's dependable, but doesn't have the expansion of more expensive rounds. Still clean and reliable."

"I got these rounds for the price tag and the fact that it had good reviews. I took a box of 50 out to the range today with my Ruger LC9. I fired two shots very nicely and accurately, then \"click.\" Hmm, brand new gun, just got to find the right ammo. I loaded up more ammo and the first round goes \"click.\" I examine the firearm and see bits of brass in the firing pin hole. I dry fire the gun to clear it and it shoots two more of these rounds and then \"click.\" I looked and there was more brass in the hole. It did this the entire box of 50! Even after I fired 150+ rounds of other, cheaper Russian ammo without any failures before I finished the box. I will never buy again. I only gave two bullets because it was quite accurate."

"Nickel plated casings are great. Pretty accurate. Primers are seemingly the only thing that change box to box. Usually all boxes in the same order contain identical bullets. I've been through around 500 rounds and it's always been dependable through my Ruger SR9c. And the price isn't too bad either."

"Bought this, along with some .30-30 Winchester, to save on shipping. My 9mm is pretty forgiving, though it reliably jams on WWB FMJ ammo. I picked up a jam on the very first round of this ammo. After that, it was all smooth cycling and straight shooting.I went through most of a box, and then switched to a couple of different rounds. I felt the difference immediately, and like the BVAC much better. I loaded one mag with half of this (bottom half) ammo, and half of another JHP round. I could tell immediately when it started shooting these, and it felt much more comfortable. It was more accurate, too. Good stuff."

"I wrote an earlier review. It all stands, except for one caveat. I recently had to put down a suffering goat on our farm. I carefully placed the shot starting at the top of neck, and proceeding through the brain, and it was an instantaneous, pain-free end. After, I checked the exit hole, and it was not very much bigger than the entrance. That says to me that the expansion on these is pretty minimal."

"Bought these, along with 10 other boxes of different brands, to do some testing. I tested these, along with Fiocchi 115gr JHP, in a gel block. These not only went the entire way through the block, but didn't expand at all, and left the jacket in pieces throughout the block. If you are buying these as economy SELF-DEFENSE rounds (as the box states), DON'T! You'd be better off buying 147gr FMJ. The Fiocchis performed much better in the gel block. Just saying."

"My earlier review gave this ammo 5 bullets. Ordered some more and was surprised to find that the ammo was totally different. First batch was Fiocchi brass and Truncated cone JHPs. Look at the current picture of the Fiocchi JHPs. That's the ammo I got in a BVAC box. 2nd batch from BVAC was \"top brass\" cases and a different bullet. Talked to the very nice Cust. Relations lady at BVAC and she said that they only use 2 different components. That does not make me feel better. I want consistency in the ammo I load in my concealed carry pistol. So who's ammo am I getting here? May have to go to PMC. Their .223 ammo is outstanding. PS: Had my first FTF at the range the other day. Bad primer."
