Leather Handled Tanto -
The traditional KA-BAR Knife updated with a Tanto blade. Here is the KA-BAR 1264 Knife. Designed to serve our troops during World War II, KA-BAR's knives were issued to every man and woman in service. KA-BAR is still doing their job more than 50 years later with full honors! This knife is a full sized 11 7/8" overall and weighs 0.68 lb.
The blade is 7" in length, stamped with USA and in a Tanto style. It is made from 1095 carbon Cro-Van steel with a 20 degree edge angle and a flat ground edge to it. Its hardness rating is 56-58 HRC. The butt cap and finger guard are made from black epoxy coated metal while the handle is polished and stacked leather.
Tanto Blade -
This knife blade was inspired by the shape of the Japanese sword blades. The point to this style blade is in line with the spine of the blade. The tanto has a reinforced point which is thick and strong and is good for heavy duty stabbing cuts.
Fixed Blade -
A fixed blade is a solid piece of steel, anchored to the handle without any folding mechanisms. It's durable and holds up well against the elements.
1095 Steel -
This knife is easy to sharpen, plain carbon steel used in knife making. It's proven to be one of the most popular steels used in KA-BAR knives.
