"Bullets were seated at varying depth. Cannelure visible on 7 cartridges, not visible on the remaining 13. When sorted, the respective groups printed about 1.5 at 100 yards out of my M&P 15 with 16\" barrel."

"I tried a box of this ammo in my Sig 556. It shot a very respectable group at 50 yds. Cycled perfectly. I didn't inspect the ammo like the other fellow did. In my opinion, if it groups well, cycles the action well, has no misfires or malfunctions and is affordable, all at the same time, that's good ammo!"

"Ordered 100 rounds yesterday at 400PM and they arrived today at 1230PM...that is fast! I cant wait to get these to the range as the 55 Grain ammo shot excellent in my DPMS 556/223."

"After getting 1 inch groups at 100yrds from a RRA Operator 16 inch match barrel, I did a little research and was pleasantly surprised it uses a bonded bullet. Being a soft point this bullet has the least amount of exposed lead of any softpoint I have seen. This is critical for semi-auto feed ramps in tactical situations. This load is as good or better as bonded SP loads costing twice as much or more. Great barrier blind load at a great cost!"

"AMMO IS NOT GREAT, BUT IS NOT BAD EITHER. GOES BOOM EVER TIME AND PRETTY ACCURATE. THIS AMMO IS NOT THE CLEANEST BURNING AMMO. U WILL HAVE A LITTLE WORK AFTER A DAY AT THE RANGE. BUT, FOR THE PRICE, I WILL BUY MORE."

"Shot these today and was impressed. They were clean, accurate and I can't wait to test them out on the deer we have here in N.M. They don't have a lot of exposed lead so your feed ramp will not get too dirty, great for semi/full auto rifles. Will but more, a great round and must buy for your 556."

"2/23/2011 after zeroing in my new STAG AR15 with some alredy great ammo I bought from Cheaper than Dirt. switch over to this round and naild bowleing pins at 100 ,150yrd. no mis fires no hangers at 100yrd hit 5 pins in 6 shoots consistantly. at 150 did very well, but a scope will soon fix all that.buy more hell ya. just cant beat the price but thay shoud have free shipping on larger orders to help keep the price you pay more like you got a better deal."

"Bitterroot valley appears to make some good ammo. I've used lots of their stuff. I have not shot a group on paper from a benchrest with this particular ammo so I can't speak completely to its accuracy in my rifle. I did do well enough shooting 6 inch steel targets from prone and sitting with it to take a coyote with it when I had the chance. The shot was 72 yds broadside and the coyote went right down, hit just behind the shoulder which was all very good. The bullet did NOT EXIT however, even on a small coyote. That doesn't mean this is horrible ammo, or that the bullet failed, it just tells me that these are lightly constructed bullets that are fine for varmits, just don't be tempted to take deer or hogs with this stuff. If you just have to use your .223 on a deer or hog spend a little bit more on corbon DPX, the Federal premium with the Nosler partition bullet or even just the old Remington Cor-lokt."

"Here at my training center Lakeview Tactical Training, I teach the Tactical combat adaptive carbine course. We use and recommend this round for defense and law enforcement use as a low cost, high value option. It's great for law enforcement that might have to shoot through barriers like auto glass, car doors and such, since it uses a 62 grain bonded bullet. We believe it uses the bonded 62 grain fusion by ATK/Federal. It's made on the same line as the 64 gr Gold dot bullets, and is made using the same technology. Its good for hunting application because of its high weight retention and good penetration. For those who need or want those specific applications, it's a great choice, especially since its hard to find a true 5.56 nato load with a bonded bullet for non law enforcement. So far this cartridge has been flawless for reliability in all our testing in the current batch. It performs extremely well in our barriers test. Also as stated below, it does have the least amount of lead exposed at the meplate of the bullet when in contrast to a bullet like the Trophy bonded bear claw or the remington premier bonded just like the Gold dot does. That's great for minimal leading on your feed ramps when using this for high volume fire or training. It's not usually an issue, however with a properly maintained firearm using any of the above stated bullets. We have also tested accuracy for this round and was very surprised that it's one of the most accurate factory loads we ever tested. A little under half MOA at 100 yards with 20 inch Krieger stainless barrel & 1/2 MOA at 100 yards from a chrome-lined 16 inch barrel, is what we have from this batch of the cartridge. It performs much like the gold dot in accuracy and terminal performance with better velocity. The velocity is stated to be 3000 fps & they say they use a 18 inch barrel. The gold dot is shot from a 24 inch barrel and records the same velocity, and our testing is consistent with this, even though ATK/speer...."

"I have ordered quite a few rounds of this ammo. I haven't shot any yet, so I can't speak to it's quality. I have used BVAC in other calibers, and it's all ran flawlessly. The problem I ran into with my last order, was that in two of the boxes, 3 rounds were fmj's. I'm sure they'll still shoot just fine, but they ain't what I ordered."

"I ordered 25 boxes of this stuff and am very pleased. Per BVAC, it uses Federal's Fusion bonded bullet (identically constructed and made on the same assembly line as the Speer Gold Dot...Speer and Federal are owned by ATK). It is really loaded at or very near to NATO pressure. I fired it back to back with Federal XM193 55gr and they felt identical to my mk1mod0 shoulder.AMM-277 is more accurate than M193. Also, when firing at a series of large 2x4's mounted lengthwise(narrow edge facing shooter), these even started to expand and destroy the entire back half of the board. M193 just penciled through leaving a small exit hole on the back.I then moved on to my most recent hog hunt. I took a brush shot at a 90lb wild boar and it dropped like I hit it with my truck. DRT. Punched through the cartilage plate, near shoulder blade, turned the heart/lungs to mush, and exited the backside entirely. If the boar would have lived, a nasty blood trail would have been easy to follow. Judging by how quickly this bonded round expands, it should also be perfect for think skinned game like whitetail deer. Buy with confidence.Lastly, the added velocity afforded by loading this round to NATO pressure means that my 14.5\" barrel achieves the same (if not slightly higher) muzzle velocity as using this same bullet at .223 SAAMI pressure from a 20\" barrel."
