"I bought a brick of this BVAC and a brick of Aguila Golden Eagles at the same time. The Aguila is shooting flawlessly out of my Ruger MK III Target while this BVAC is TERRIBLE. I managed to get through 50 rounds of this stuff and finally just gave up on it. Out of 50 rounds, 6 Failures to Feed and 2 Failures to Fire and 3 stovepipes. At the range at the same outing I fired 100 rounds of Aguila Golden Eagle with zero problems, 50 rounds of Remington Thunderbolts with zero problems and 250 rounds of Remington Golden Bullets with 1 Failure to Fire out of the same pistol. The biggest problem with this BVAC seems to be the tip of the Hollow Point catches on the upper edge of the receiver causing it to jam. Another agrivating problem is this ammo absolutely will not work in my Ultimate Cliploader. Go figure!"

"At least 2 FTFs per box of 50. Been helping a friend with a Junior Shooter Academy at Norco, bought this so the kids have ammo to shoot. We're using a Steel Challenge format so extreme accuracy is not needed, ammo frustration doesn't help the learning process. Unless the product improves, I will not purchase any more."

"I bought this ammo knowing that the first 2 reviews were bad. I shot about 400 rounds of this ammo with my Bushmaster AR-15/Ceiner convertion kit. I was surprise how accurate it is at 100 yards. No failure whatsoever."

"Gave this ammo a work out in two guns, its not worth the trouble it gave. FTF & will not eject properly.Dont waste your money, its trash ammo."

"Ammo shot flawless, we were shooting beer cans at 100 yards every shot. If your gun is a good one it will love this ammo. I will be buying more soon."

"Shot 500 rounds through my Browning Buckmark rifle with out a problem, my gun loved them very accurate."

"Just ran 200 rounds through my Colt / Umarex M-4. Flawless performance, excellent accuracy. My rifle was zeroed in @ 50 yds using Federal bulk ammo. The BVAC shot dead center, 1.5" higher than the Federal. I will be ordering more!"

"this ammo was pretty damn cheap but i had about 5 rounds out of 350 jam in my 10/22, it also comes with a neat little target in the inside of the box if you bother to open it up and use it"

"I have shot the .22, .45, .40, 357 .223 and many of there hunting rounds in the past month. I was very impressed with the quality and accuracy of there ammo. I will be buying more in the future, I will be recommending this to anyone in the future. There hunting rounds are very impressive at the range, I think that with the components that they use this will be a very sucessful hunting season!"

"I ran about 250 rounds though my colt m4 22lr. I had about 10 FTF and a couple of misfeeds. I don't think Ill ever buy these again. But I've read that other people had great success with this ammo and the same gun so test it first..."

"I bought a brick of this and have shot 200 through a Merlin 22 rifle and a S&W model 41 and though I had 2 failure to feed with the pistol I figure it was due to the HP tips. Other then that I was hitting golf balls at 25 yards with the pistol and even out to 75yds with the rifle. I was impressed with the ammos consistancy and would recommend trying it for any one looking for cheap bulk ammo."
4.0 5
"I bought this ammo for my Walther P22. It shots pretty well, about 2 FTF every 150 rounds, but I think it's the issue of my pistol. It does leave a lot residue though"

"took this stuff out two different times. i have a remington 597 and a marlin model 60... first day with the remington i had bout three stovepipes and a few failure to loads and bout 1 FTF no issue in the marlin. second time i had 1 FTF and 1 stovepipe on the remington and it cycled fine with only 1 jamming issue. the marlin however had a worse time bout 4 FTF and then a bullet did something i have never seen it fired the round blew the primer end off the casing and left the casing in the chamber which was a son of a gun to get out of the chamber... was pretty accurate though didnt have any trouble shooting quarter and fifty cent piece size targets at 25 yards with either gun... noticed it was pretty dirty ammo though not nearly as dirty as the remington bulk ammo i have bought in the past"
1.0 5
"Because Im a business owner I decided to give this ammo another shot... dont buy this crap I had another event where the bullet blew out the back end of the casing only half way this time but it left the bullet lodged in the barrel... I only got through maybe 150 rounds with this junk this time... thought it was a one in a million problem but I guessed wrong it might be the primer or it might be the brass in either case you dont want what happened to me to happen to you... Im really unhappy and will not recommend this to anyone youre better off with Remington .22 ammo its just as dirty but you wont be putting your face or your gun in any harm with Remington ammo at least."

"I recently assembled several different low cost .22 High Velocity ammo brands for testing in my 10/22 and AR conversion kit. Both Remington and Federal Bulk had lots of failures to fire (Federal was the worst). The two best by far were Armscor and BVAC - both of which had almost no fliers and tied for the best groups. Zero misfeeds, zero jams. Strangely, the two brands look identical - case headstamp, bullet color and shape all match. Group size and point of impact were also identical. I don't understand why some folks are having such problems. I plan on testing in other guns and will post again if I have problems."

"The BVAC 22 lr 36 gr high velocity ammo is very good ammo. I use it in my single action revolver and I love it. Low smoke, fairly clean, almost no FTF. I also use it in my 22lr autoloader rifle and never have any feed problems and accuracy is very good. Great price for a great product. I feel the same way about all the BVAC calibers I have tried: 22 mag, 223 rem, 9mm, 40 S&W, and 45 acp. All their stuff is worth stocking up on."

"I bought a brick to try out. I shot this out of a very reliable pistol that I use for competition. I had a couple duds out of a full brick. It took a squirrels head clean off at 25 yards. Wicked little hollow point. Instantly killed a Groundhog at 50 ft. This ammo is worth every penny. Plus it's made here in the good ole USA. Better than Remington by far, unless it's the Eley primed stuff."
4.0 5
"This ammo is accurate and is very hard hitting. Some guns don't like it, marlin glenfield 60 for instance. I have fired 500 rounds without any failures of any kind in each of the following, marlin 39a, ruger markI, winchester 94/22, and browning semi auto pistol. Buy a little and try it, if your gun likes it you can't go wrong for the price. MADE IN USA!!!"

"This is good ammo. My Ruger 10/22 and Marlin 60 Love this stuff."
5.0 5
"This is very good ammo. It works well for Ruger 10/22. I shoot about 500 rounds through before I begin to have problems. I just use cotton swabs and a little bit of gun cleaner for a quick wipe around the magwell opening, and I am up and shooting again."
5.0 5
"Hands down the absolute best round for my Remmington Nylon 77. Very accurate, even at 100 yards, feeds, ejects, fires and functions excellent. 22's can be finicky, glad to have found the "one" for mine. Thanks CTD!"
4.0 5
"It is very cheap ammunition, and is very tight, like match grade ammo. my only complaint is that it is very dirty when you shoot it."
4.0 5
"I bought a brick to try and am pleased so far. I Shot a little over 100 rounds through my son's Stevens Favorite Model 20. I had to concentrate a little on the trigger pull, but I hit all the silhouettes at the range. The gun didn't seem any dirtier than after shooting other ammo. I'll buy more of this ammo for plinking."
4.0 5
"I use this in my High Standard Sport King. This High Standard Pistol need HV to cycle slide. Will not cycle on Standard Velocity except Aquila's 60gr subsonic. This ammo has miss fired less the Aquila Super Extra HV with Eley prime and Winchester Wildcat 22.I recommend it, its price is good!!"
5.0 5
"Bought this ammo to use in a CMMG .22 conversion for an AR-15 and they worked amazingly well. I thought I would have at least one FTF or FTE during the break in period, but not a single one out of the entire brick. This is a compliment to not only the ammo, but to the .22 conversion that can also be bought here. The shot groups were great as well, so I highly recommend."

"These 36 grain 22 long rifle rounds are really good for pest control and for small game hunting. You can shoot rabbit, wild boar, and squirrel. Be warned though, these bullets can shoot a mile."

"Well, guys some ya win, some ya loose, and some get rained out! This ammo does not work for me in my Walther P22, but no big deal. I will just find the ammo on this site which does work and stick with it. Nothing to get all fired up about. As for being trash ammo, it is not. Weapons are tricky sometimes and different weapons like different ammo. Any shooter, who has been around a bit, knows that. This ammo works just fine in my Tarus .22LR, so go figure that one. I hate it when someone says ammo is trash just because it will not run in their weapon. Will"
5.0 5
"I tried this in my M4 OPS and it loved it, despite being a picky rifle. So far, my rifle only likes this stuff and Federal Champion. After shooting a few hundred of each ammo, I had no failures with this one, as opposed to having an occasional one with the Federals."
4.0 5
"Fantastic ammo! This is every bit as good if not better than CCI Velociters or the segmented ammo. I also have a Walther P22 and it can be picky with some ammo. more often than not its the hollow points that the P22 doesn't like. *If you do not already know the Walther P22 has a flaw in the barrel from the factory and it needs the barrel polished to eliminate a lip between the bevel and the barrel that the ammo catches on. (The Walther P22 Bible has the scoop.)*"

"Went out today for a range test with 5 different 22LR ammunitions to see which shot best in my new Savage BTVS. The BVAC shot the best of all six with groups of 1/2" consistantly at 50yds. It was the second ammo that I fired and had to re-zero my scope as the BVAC shot 1.5" higher than American Eagle 40gr. A little ligher bullet and I think its a little faster than standard HV ammo. No misfires in 100 rounds. I shot two differnt Winchester, two Federal and the BVAC. This is great ammo for my rifle. YMMV. By the way the Wincester Thunderbolts shot the worst groups but the Winchester 333 bulk ammo shot second best."
5.0 5
"This was great ammo for the price. I had no problems with it at all. 500 rounds through my GSG-5 and Ruger 10/22 and no issues. I will continue to get this quality product at a great price. No need to look for other brands this is the best."
5.0 5
"This ammo runs great in my Velocity dedicated AR-15 .22 upper. No complaints here."
4.0 5
"Good ammo for the money. 1 FTF in the brick. The other 499 fed flawlessly and fired from a Ruger MkII easily with no kick and tight groups. I will easily buy again. Not sure about self defense round, but for target, I will easily buy again."

"I love to shoot .22 pistols because of the low cost. I have a Walther P22 which is a very picky gun, it works well with Fiocchi high velocity ammo, but I have trouble finding it. I thought I'd try the BVAC based on all the positve reviews. The gun didn't want to cycle at all and I had frequent ftfs. I also have a Sig 229 which coverts to a .22. It normally is trouble free, but it even had problems with these. I experienced an odd thing in that the shell about to be chambered was sometimes pushed straight up by the next shell so they got stuck in a really ackward position. Out of about 100 rounds this happened maybe 7 or 8 times in the Sig. It was really a frustrating day and I've still got about 1,000 of these left to try and get through."

"I shot 250 rounds this past weekend through my old Ruger 10/22 with few problems. I had some FTFeeds but I think they were largely magazine related. When I switched to the Ruger standard 10-shot rotary magazines the BVAC performed flawlessly. I did notice the casings were a little "sticky" but I don't know why or if it affected performance. So overall I'd give them a 3 out of 5. Not bad, but not great either."
5.0 5
"I shot 1000 rounds yesterday and had NO missfires and NO problems with them cycling through either if my semi-auto pistols. I would recomment this ammo with no reservations. I will be buying more!"
5.0 5
"I have an M&P 15-22 that's pretty picky about ammo. I took a chance on this stuff because the price was right, figuring I could deal with a few feeding issues or the occasional FTF since my life didn't depend on it. I was pleasantly surprised when the BVAC ammo performed flawlessly! This is by far the best stuff I have ever used in this rifle and it was equally good in my son's 10/22, my S&W 422 pistol, and my Marlin Model 70. Accuracy was at least as good as anything else I've tried, too. Needless to say, I'll be stocking up."
4.0 5
"I'm pleased with this ammunition. It shoots fairly consistently through my Ruger Hunter Mk III pistol though after a couple hundred rounds. I start getting stove piped shells that need to be cleared. But I seem to have that problem with all 22lr ammo in that gun. I've gone through a brick of 500 and had maybe half a dozen that jammed. This is at least as good and better than any other brand of ammunition I've ever bought. I'll keep buying this product."
5.0 5
"My Beretta is very picky. It likes CCI only.....until this round came along. Two thumbs up."

"This cartridge's bullet is shorter than most other 22lr's. With a tubular magazine an extra round can usually be loaded :)!!!"

"Picked up 2500 rounds a few months ago. shot 250 rounds on Easter through a Ruger 10-22. Not a single misfire, very tight groups. Makes an excellent plinker.. 5 BULLETS"
3.0 5
"I've shot about 300 rounds of this BVAC .22LR in my Ruger SR-22 (a new 10/22). The good news is that it performs pretty well on accuracy and velocity. The bad news is that the rounds are sticky and gum your action and barrel up fast. I had no problems with the Ruger 10/22 factory 10-shot rotary mag but this ammo will NOT feed at all from a Butler Creek hi-cap mag. I'm taking one bullet away each for the stickyness and the failures to feed from my hi-cap mag (other rounds feed OK). I'll certainly finish off the rest of this ammo, but I'll be looking for some cleaner stuff next time."
5.0 5
"The good: This ammo is the most accurate ammo out of all I tested in my 10/22. It feeds perfectly out of factory and 3rd party 10 rnd mags. Ditto for 77/22. Shoots great out of my AR-15 conversion kit with Black Dog mags. Fine in my single shots too. As accurate as some target ammo (at least all that I had)! The bad: Malfunctions in my 22/45 - and I suspect it will in other guns too.The why: The bullet shape on these rounds is just different. It's a bit longer than most and not as rounded. Looks like it would expend well on game - I will definitely take it hunting in a few months!I gave this ammo 5 bullets in spite of the problems, because when it works it is the absolute best!"
2.0 5
"I was using these with my 10/22, which takes the cheapest of ammo no problem. I had several feed issues, jams, and an over all bad experience.Only get this if you have time to fix jams"
4.0 5
"I bought 1000 rnds thinking this isn't gonna be pretty from what others have said, but after I shot 100 w/but 2 SPs, I realized it was the new Barrel I put on my Ruger 10/22. The smoke cleared fast and it is alittle dusty/dirty/sticky, but all in all, (see my review on the Barrel) I was amazed at it's spark and accuracy. 100 rnds in 3 holes @ 75 yrds. Why not brag, and I already got another 1000 rnds. This isn't smuck ammo, it's not 5 Bullets because of the dirty after effects of several hundered, but darn good far as straight on line and in the bullseye or kick butt w/small game @ 100 or less yrds. I'm going to stay with it. I'm gonna try it in the Mark II and see if it's as straighton out of that. Thanks CTD good deals all around."

"Fantastic, 500 shots through my S&W 22A and Marlin rifle, not a single misfire, jam, or any problem. Very accurate."
5.0 5
"I recently purchased the CMMG 22 conversion kit for my M-4. This ammo shot great through the kit/weapon. I am also looking at the review's on the Remington Yellow jacket's, and want to try those next. Almost every review of the Yellow Jacket tell's what an awesome round it is. I would purchase this ammo again though."
3.0 5
"I shot 1000 rounds in 3 guns and never a misfire and were always very accurate. Bad news in my revolver though: too dirty. After each box I had to clean the cylinder so the new rounds would fully seat."
4.0 5
"Ran 100 rnds of BVAC 22lr through a new Sig Sauer Mosquito after an initial cleaning: no problems."
3.0 5
"Really cheap ammo, even for 22LR. Accurate, dirty and smells. But, occasionally fails to fire. I will re-consider about buying more."
4.0 5
"Bought case of this ammo last month, had a problem with shipping fed-x broke open the case. I called CTD customer service. They called fed-x and then called me. They sent out another case right away Very good customer service. Now the ammo, I shoot it thought a Rem model 33 single shot. 25yds open sights .25 inch 3 shot group, CCI velositor (sp) 1.0 inch group and Aqula interspetor (sp) .75 inch group. Rifle really like BV ammo. Yes a little dirty but it will knock down tree rats."
1.0 5
"This is not good ammo. Too many FTF, and FTE's in my 10/22. I have also used there .223 in my Remmington 700, and while accurate at least 2 per box failed to fire. I wouldn't buy this ammo again."
3.0 5
"I have only tried this in one rifle so far so I cannot say for certain how accurate it may be in another rifle. In my CZ 452 Varmint it averages just under 3/4" at 50 yards for multiple 5 shot groups. Every shot fired and no fliers so it may be great in another rifle. The best 5 shot group was a .499 but luck played a role in that one."
4.0 5
"So far groups better than two other low priced brands. 2 Misfeeds and 2 FTF out of 500 rounds. I will buy more to compare to other brands."
1.0 5
"This ammo did not feed into a Marlin 22 LR correctly. It had massive feed failures."
2.0 5
"Too dirty and smoky, them jammed up my Buckmark semi-auto."
2.0 5
"I bought a brick to try in my S&W 317. Dirt gets into the cylinder after only a few rounds. Rounds fail to seat and cylinder jams. Not fun to fix every few loads; and tough to clean the gun afterwards. I'll use the rest in another gun."
2.0 5
"I bought this because it was reasonably priced and I needed a lot of ammo for an Appleseed shoot. I shot 400 rounds with 12 misfires, 1 hangfire, 5 FTF and 3 FTE. Super dirty, the chamber on my 10/22 looked like someone coated it with black charcoal dust. I guess I'll stick to CCI or Federal."
1.0 5
"I am a big fan of BVAC .40S&W Reloads & .357Mag Ammo. Great stuff, so when I needed some .22LR ammo, I thought I'd try out BVAC .22LR. In my ISSC M-22 pistol, the ammo had 6 FTE due to underpowered cartridges, had 5 FTFeed and 2 FTFire out of 30 rounds (3 mags). I know that the M-22 is finiky as to the ammo it will digest, so I tried 30 rounds through my Ruger Std .22LR (Mark I) which will fire and eject even sub-sonic CB-Cap .22's. Same problems of dirty powder residue (like you are shooting Black Powder, only dirtier), 8 FTEjects, 4 FTFire, 4 FTFeed. I spent more time clearing pistol malfunctions than I did shooting! I bought the brick, so I guess I'll just have to use them in a single shot rifle. Sorry BVAC, your .22LR Ammo really sucks!"
4.0 5
"Shot 100 at the range. I had two misfires."
3.0 5
"My buddy got some of these and they had huge hollow points. So I ordered some up and when they got here, they had different tips! But they still shoot fine out of my Mark III."
1.0 5
"The casing and round has a very funny color to it and left a very nasty residue in my GSG-5. I had several failure to fire and feed on this ammo. I bought 500 rounds and 400 went in the trash, I will not purchase this ammo again. As always though Cheaper had it shipped and to me in no time!"
5.0 5
"I expierienced lots of FTF and FTE using Thunderbolts in my AR-15 22 kit so I bought these to see how they would do. I couldnt be more pleased. I had purchased a 50 round Black Dog mag and the Thunderbolts were hampering my fun. Stuffed with the BVAC, I went through several mag's full with no issues and a big grin."
3.0 5
"After running about 250 rounds of this stuff between two 10/22's I noticed an increasing number of mis-feeds. Had a few mis-fires. It's pretty dirty ammo, and it made a mess of the magazines. Should be able to run a thousand rounds through a .22 without magazine malfunctions from excess carbon."
4.0 5
"The first brick I shot with my 10/22 worked pretty well. Like Shooter, I had a few malfunctions but fewer malfunctions than I had with other ammo. I'll buy another brick for plinking and casual shooting."
4.0 5
"To be fair, I bought another brick of the BVAC 22LRHP. I took it out to my range with the same ISSC M22b pistol and my Ruger Standard .22LR (Mark I) that was used on the 1/20/2011 review.I wanted to give BVAC a fair chance, since all their other ammo that I have shot is really good, and now that the M22b now has almost 6000 rounds through it, and will now shoot Remington Golden Bullet HP without issue, which it would not do before. In the first 100 rounds the M22b had 1 incident with the BVAC .22LR Ammo, it was a low-powered round, which hit the target fine, extracted and ejected fine, but sounded like a "pop" rather than a "bang".I then shot the next 100 rounds through the Ruger Mark I and had no problems at all!The pistols exhibited more of a black residue from this ammo, but it did function and perform better than it did eight months earlier. BVAC, I now take it back, your .22LRHP ammo does not suck, totallyIt is still dirtier than most others!"
4.0 5
"I reviewed this ammo last year in a model 33 rifle. Now reviewing it from a Beretta 21A. Anyone that has a 21a knows they are finiky on ammo. Mine likes cci brands. But lately I have been shooting this ammo, and it shoots fine. NO FTF, FTE, no nothing, it just shoots. 150 rounds without a problem, if I would have had more with me I would have kept going. Good stuff."
1.0 5
"Today I fired 2 boxes by 50 rounds each: 39 (!!!) rounds out of 100 DOESN'T FIT TO CHAMBER of my Smith and Wesson! Can't believe that quality could be so poor! I'll try different manufacturer next time."
1.0 5
"Purchased this ammo as I have BVAC in other calibers with good results. Could not be more disappointed. Took my nephews out for their first experience shooting. Brought two semi-automatic rifles and two pistols (Ruger MkII and Colt Cadet). Experienced multiple duds and ftf/fte in every firearm with this ammo. Was very rare to make it through a magazine in any of these guns with this ammo without a failure of some type. Made the mistake of buying a brick of this crap and now have to figure out how to dispose of it safely because it's not fit to fire. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this product. Guns were unusually filthy after using this stuff as well."
5.0 5
"I stocked up on this stuff a few years back. I've shot around 2000 rounds with a ruger 10/22, walther p22, and an m&p 15-22. I have never had a single fail to fire..I'd buy more if it were available."
