"i got 2 boxes of them from a friend he has a ranch out in nevada we loaded up with them and went to town lots coyote that we needed to get rid of they stop them better then .17 HRM and the powder burning has a sweet smell. tons of power for a 22lr not one missfire"

"Bought 1000 rounds - huge mistake. In a Sig Sauer Mosquito I experienced stovepipes, failure to feed at least twice per 10-round magazine. Worse yet, three of the rounds blew off the cartridge base and left the cartridge casing hung up in the chamber. When this occurred I was hit in the face by unexploded powder and casing fragments . . . good reason for wearing safety glasses! Can not reccomend this ammo as it appears to have erratic loads and could be unsafe!"

"The packaging looks cool, and the 1470 fps seemed nice considering I am putting this through the SIG Mosquito that is sensitive to ammo. The ammo seemed to cycle OK, but you still need to stay on the standard velocity recoil spring instead of the high velocity spring on the Mosquito. Two things that bother me is the VERY ODD smell these things have over other ammo. I really don't care for the smell, so I would suggest outdoor range or WELL ventilated indoor range. The biggest thing you really need to be aware of is this stuff sprays particles back at your face, so make sure you do not ever slack on eye protection, or you will have a visit to a doctor to remove particles from your eyes. With eye protection, ball cap, and ear protection, I felt relatively safe from the particles blowing back at me, but was still a bit nervous shooting them. I give these 3 bullets because they still cycled through the SIG Mosquito pretty good with a little extra kick over the CCI-Mags. I purchased 3000 rounds, and with the problems, I will still use what I have, but not sure I will buy more after that unless I can get past what I did not like (or the price becomes a deal just can no be passed). I still prefer CCI Mini-Mags or Winchester Super-X over these."

"bought 500 round brick, and shot them all through my P22 on break in (first ammo through a brand new gun) no feeding errors, failure to ejects, etc. this stuff is dirty, but its LOUD for 22lr, got some good kick to it, powder smells sweet. I will buy it again."

"I have experienced many failures-to-fire with Aquila Interceptor. The rim-fire primer seems weak but will usually fire on a second strike. This occurred in several makes of semi-auto pistols and rifles. Sometimes a full magazine of 10 fired with no problems, but often I got one or two ftf."

"Excellent ammunition. Shoot it through my old Remington pump 12-A as well as my Marlin 60. Glad to have found it.Also like the SSS .60 grain .22. Slow but really packs a punch. Big fan of Aquila and CCI. Also shoot a Savage .17hmr and a Ruger Mini 14 .223.Mike"

"Don't know why but this is the only .22 lr so far that feeds 100% reliable in my new Kel-Tec PLR-22 (hates hollow-points). Is it the high FPS (1470) or just the round nose, or the plating or all three? It's accurate, but a little smokey with a slightly odd smell. I'm going to try their match stuff next time. That would be cheaper in the long run. Crossing my fingers."

"I have a M6 Springield 22LR/410 Shotgun survuval weapon and this ammo shoots really great in this weapon. I have a BSA Red/Green dot sight on it and I've found that as long as youi stay with the 40 grain bullet this weapon really shoots great. It's stainless steel construction and I've tried other weights of bullets, might as well be shooting the 410 shotgun barell. The rifle barell with the 40 grain bullet stacks them in at twenty-five yards. At one hundred yards it still scares me how accurate this load really is. I wouldn't have anything else but this round in this weapon. If you want a round to shoot good and hard GET IT!!!!!"

"A good surprise !I have been sampling a variety of .22LR ammo in a quest for reasonable price and good feeding for my somewhat particular Sig P226 with .22 LR conversion.Had been suffering with stovepipes and misfires until the Aquila Interceptor. No, I have not tried the OEM rec. CCI minimags yet, but was looking for a less expensive alternative. The Aquila Interceptors fed 300 rounds almost flawlessly in the Sig. Rapid fire was possible without misfires. Aquila Interceptor is a little louder than other ammo and the smoke residue smells oddly pleasant. I also like the copper plating which minimizes lead residue on the fingers and hands.....Will buy again......."

"While Aquila is a bit expensive, it cycles and fires perfectly through my Ruger 23/45 Mark III...Walther TPH...and my .22 Wilson conversion for my .45 semi. Have had really bad luck with Aquila SuperMax, but the interceptor functions perfectly!"

"My wife and myself have used, and compaired this to most 22 out there. We have no complaints, or no miss fires. Price wise it is hard to beat. Is very accurate. Wife shoots a s&w 41, and i shoot Hi-Standard super , no jams or jams. Does have different smell."

"Good stuff.fired through my 10\\22 these rounds were accurate and powerful.they definitely move quick.not good for small game hunting they will make smaller critters explode.rabbits would be OK but chipmunks and squirrels look terrible after contact with these. They definitely smell funky, like crazy glue but not as strong. They are made in Mexico.I wounder if all Aquila 22 rounds smell this weird"

"I have shot severl hundred rounds through my old Ruger 10/22 with no problems at all. This ammo has some different smelling powder, smells like amonia but this ammo is some of the best on the market. Extreamly accurate at 100 yards, I am very happy with this ammo, buy some before Febuary 11, 2010."

"Actually, this is the only stuff that I've been able to consistently get my CMMG conversion kit for my AR, to cycle properly. Only drawback is it tends to gum it up faster than usual."

"This is fun ammo to shoot. Put it in a pistol and you'll actually have a (tiny) bit of a kick, and the retort is louder too. I've noticed accuracy is not quite as good as others. I've shoot about 100 rounds so far with no failures to feed, fire, or eject. The extra umph makes sure even stubborn semi-auto 22s cycle."

"This is the stuff. Just yesterday, I went back through familiarization with Fed. bulk, Golden bullet HP's, and the Interceptor. Results said \"End the Fed.\" The Rem. bullets are a favorite with my 10/.22's, but there is that 4% dud rate that you just have to deal with. The Interceptor though....Flight time at 100+ yards is shockingly quick. Trajectory is weirdly flat, for a .22. Impact is very noticeable. I look at my \"little\" rifles differently with this stuff. I ordered \"a bunch\" more last night. It will gradually replace my previous stock of .22 ammo. Try it. See how it flies, and penetrates, and holds usable accuracy to 200 yards. It elevates your plinker to weapon status. Yowza!"

"Doesn't work well for my SIG P226 .22LR conv.kit. Time to put gas mask on :)))... MAN THIS STUFF IS REALLY STINKY (any aguila stuff this way) So much smoke so I should wait for every 4 shots... & not very accurate(compare to other brands). Misfires many times. Maybe it is OK for outdoor range & not for my SIG for sure."

"Great ammo to go plinking or to practice. Shoots good, no FTF's, had it in a revolver so no FTE, lol. Seems to have plenty of powder and is very strong in penetration."

"As per above, I initially rated this ammo high. However, after churning through 2 bricks, I have realized that this is perhaps the dirtiest and smokiest high velocity ammo I have ever tried. The amount of cleaning I need to do after shooting is just not worth it. The amount of smoke and powder debris while shooting is a pain as well. I have moved to American Eagle 38 grain copper plated high velocity and others since."

"Just opened my second brick of this ammo, and ran another 200 rounds through my new Ruger MKIII 22/45. Still no misfire, maybe one stovepipe jam, but that was it. A lot of smoke, and the smell, but the barrel was very clean after. Worth the few extra bucks."

"I've gone through 1 brick of these with no misfires or misfeeds. I've found it great for shooting rabbits. They have great penetration, every rabbit I've shot the bullets passed strait through. I've found them to be very accurate. They do foul up the barrel much faster than other rounds I've used and they have a peculiar smell caused by the Eley primer."

"Best ammo for a .22LR Beretta (Model 21 Bobcat)Out of 200 rounds (almost non-stop) 1 misfire. No jams. This is one of the highest velocity ammo out there, and cheap too."

"Bought this ammo for defensive use in my P22 for my GF to use. According to the www.brassfetcher.com Gel tests, it should consistently penetrate more than adequately. Function was perfect. Has that trademark \"sweet\" Aguila smell when fired."

"I bought this a couple of orders ago but just now writing what I think. 1; Sighted Ruger 10/22 with federal 555 Bulk @ 100 yrds. These shot 3\" higher at same range with a lot more punch!2; They are only about 200-300 Ft/sec slower than 22 mag of same weight. Can you say Wow!!!SCP-263)3; Now I don't to spend the money to buy a 22 mag rifle. Can need you say save $$$."

"Took One of the fifty round boxes to range. I invited my 66 year old mother with me. She shot these through both a Henry AR-7 and S&W M&P 15-22. She never shot a rifle, but she had a blast lighting up the target. She hit where she aimed, and wanted to keep shooting. But I ran out of ammo. I am buying more.Thank you CTD."

"This is without a doubt the most accurate, hardest hitting long range 22 LR I have ever shot. When I say accurate, I mean 100 yd groups look like most other ammo 50 yd groups. The 40 gr bullet makes it really hit hard down range. I don't use it on table game because it really messes them up. My rifle is a Kimber straight out of the box and it will shoot tiny little touching bunches of these at 100yds. Never had a failure--love that smell. BT"

"This is great stuff, hot! but only 4 stars because it is not good for most semi auto pistols. Great for bolt action rifle, Contender, and 22 revolver. I get awsome results with my S&W 617 revolver. Too hot for my Ruger MKIII, WaltherP22, or Browning Buckmark. Too much blowback. I would be cautious with my 10/22's. Example of this review is the Sig Mosquito someone left here."

"I saw so many good reviews and bought a brick of the ammo. Maybe I got a bad batch, maybe the ammo got dropped too much in the mail. Whatever it was, It was the most horrible ammo I tried that day in my grouping test with 13 other ammos. Rounds strayed from shot to shot to shot. I shot all ammo on clean bores, both the rounds I shot with before and after this ammunition produced good groups. Ammo is also extremely dirty."

"These are cheaper than other brands, I'll give you that. And these are one of the few FMJ .22's out there. But..... The mexican factories where they make these are cheap. My weapon is full of sawdust, that are stuffed in the bullets over the powder, and its hell trying to clean it out without giving your weapon a shower."

"I ran this stuff through a S&W M&P15-22 and it was pretty overall. The smell and smoke is something to get used to though. Accuracy was good but this isn't match grade ammo, so no complaints. You can really feel the power compared to others!!! I stacked every other cartridge with this and CCI Velocitors and you could tell the Aquilas were more powerful just by the crack. It's a little spendy compared to bulk .22s, but I would still recommend them for hunting and dare I say self defense."

"This is the most accurate high velocity ammo I've ever shot in my Marlin bolt action 22. I get better groups at 100 yards with this than I get at 50 yards with cheap ammo. It's almost as accurate in my gun as good match ammo, and way more powerful. In fact, this stuff is powerful enough that I would not recommend shooting it regularly in a semi-auto unless it has an upgraded recoil spring or bolt buffer. I love this stuff."

"Been looking for this stuff on here for a while since I bought a brick last year. Now seeing it's no longer available. Come on guys, get this stuff back in stock please! I had a lot of success with it, good accuracy and the recoil alone tells you its powerful. If you stack this with standard 22 rounds you will see what I mean. Almost 300 fps faster than standard velocity, are you kidding me?!?! Also have had no issues with cycling in a M&P 15-22. Good stuff, hope to see it back in Stock sometime."
