Extra Large Voyager Tanto Blade Knife -
The Voyager Series offers all the advantages of the latest in Lockback construction technology including lightning quick one handed opening. This knife was designed for maximum performance with a reinforced pivot pin and stainless steel pocket clip, to the grooved thumb shelf on the back of the knife for extra traction. Each handle in the Voyager Series is now more oval shaped in cross section.

The redesigned Voyagers are made from the same premium stainless steel that goes into all Voyager knives. They feature precision milled and hand fitted parts with extra stiff springs. This provides a lock that is safer and stronger than most traditional folders. The blades are extremely wide and ground thin at the edge for tremendous shearing potential. This thin edge allows one to hone the blade to astounding sharpness. Plus, the cutting surface is continuously curved along its entire length for the most efficient possible slicing action. Because of the high carbon content in the stainless steel, you will find that the sharpness lasts a surprisingly long time.

Tanto Blade -
This knife blade was inspired by the shape of the Japanese sword blades. The point to this style blade is in line with the spine of the blade. The tanto has a reinforced point which is thick and strong and is good for heavy duty stabbing cuts.

AUS 8 -
A Japanese made medium carbon,  high chromium stainless steel, which offers a good balance of toughness, edge sharpness and corrosion resistance.

Zytel -
A glass filled nylon material used in making handles for knives. DuPont trademark.

"I've owned two of these knives so far. The first had a Zytel pocket clip and was an exceptional knife until the clip broke. The new versions of this knife have a steel pocket clip that is far more durable and reliable than the molded Zytel clip. The knife holds an edge very well and sharpens easily. The 5 inch blade is impressive and the tanto style is very versatile. Overall, the knife is about 11 inches long when open, so if you are looking to be discrete, this isn't the knife for you. I carry mine every day and have for over 5 years now. I can't imagine leaving home without it."

"My husband loves this knife and has 2 of them. Lost one, bought another- found the old one. Now he has lost the old one again. I am buying him 2 more just incase. He can't leave without it & it makes me wonder how he lost the darn thing because it is not conspicuous at all. A++"

"Best knife I have ever owned. I was a police officer and I used it for every thing you can imagine. It held up when I saw other knives break. Being a motorcycle officer it was constantly exposed to the elements and i never saw a spot of rust one in all the time I wore it in my boot. Yeah it was the best and then my son found out just how great it was ( he was an auto mechanic at the time) and \"confiscated\" it for himself. He still has it to this day and uses it every day. I'll be buying another one to replace it."

"this is the best , toughest folding knife i've ever owned. It has stood up to weather abuse etc... ever time i've needed a dependable cutting tool for anything it has come through like a champ! the only drawback is the pocket clip did'nt last long and broke fairly easy, but i just got a holster for it . wouldnt take twice what i paid for it! I paid $90 bucks for it 12 years ago and its still razor sharp!!!!"

"Big folder....5 inches is approaching fixed blade territory...for the cost, gotta have it. Sturdy and burly as most Cold Steel knives are...downside is its a pinned design, cant adjust the pivot screw, there isnt one. But for the money, its fine. It does come in VG-1 steel now which is better than the AUS8 which is the original design..but the new VG-1 knives are roughly $5 more around the web...this one does the job. Get it."
