"I've purchased several different brands/loads of .454 ammo. The Bitteroot ammo is some of the cleanest shooting ammo that I've used. I haven't had any problems with the brass sticking in the cylinder after shooting the rounds. The rounds are consistant down range! Good ammo for the price!"

"We've fired 250 rounds through a Ruger Super Redhawk without a single issue. Works perfectly, nice brass, zero complaints. Great value!"

"Bang for the buck. You can't beat this ammo. I feed it to my Redhawk Alaskan 2.5" barrel. Accurate and kicks like a mule."

"This is the best value ammunition for the 454 Casull [I've found]. Great quality and a very hard hitting round. A jacketed round that doesn't really expand unless your hitting steel or another very hardened material. I've shot this round into several logs and then split to retrieve the bullet. The bullet does not change shape. Relatively flat shooting for a 300gr round. I consider this a extreme penetrating round."

"This is good ammo for the range. It's pretty accurate and has a bit less kick. Good for a little extra time on the range without ending up with numb hands."

"So far these have been my favorite .454 rounds. Out of my Raging Judge 3 I have fired Magtech Full Metal Jacket 260 Grain 1800 fps, Hornady XTP Mag 300 Grain 1650 fps, and the .410 Winchester Super-X Buckshot 3" #000 Buck 5 Pellets 1135 fps. So far these are the only Brass cartridges that HAVE NOT stuck in the cylinder after firing they popped right out. The other rounds fired nice, just harder to eject. These are fairly clean firing and they go bang every time. The only issue I had at the end of the shooting session was my hand was sore (after only 12 rounds I actually broke a blood vessel in the V of my hand - these suckers kick!), but that is to be expected from this type of load and I do not fault the company for that. At the end of the day my hand was aching and I had a smile on my facefor $37.19 a box I should have bought a few more boxes as these will be the only JHP rounds I will buy for The Raging from now on!"

"Brass sticks in cylinder. If you look closely, you can see where it bulges out. 10 out of 50 were like this. Next time I will spend a little more money for better quality ammo."

"These other reviews seem to be pretty consistent, so I will agree with the other comments. Ex. -the ammo bulges but ejects properly (on a Raging Judge); -packs a decent punch compared to other stuff I've shot (might be due to bullet weight, compared to 240 gr) ; -great price; -these JHP seemed like surprisingly good quality (just upon inspection); -are accurate as far as I can tell, and seem to have consistent powder between the rounds. However, the only problem I had with this is a FTF. I shot about 2/3 of a 50 round box and had one FTF. I re-fired it out of my "Raging Judge" and the second time it fired fine. I would have ranked this ammo higher, aside from this FTF, which is not acceptable, especially in a revolver (or any gun for that matter, due to safety)."

"Great range ammo. Nice to practice with and feel the power. I have used other ammo in the 300gr range and the BVAC is my favorite at the range. I have sighted in my Raging Bull 8" barrel and the recoil is so manageable. I use a green/red dot scope and I like to practice at 50 and 100 yards. Going out to hunt a couple hogs with this ammo next week, will post update about performance characteristics after. Try them out and you will also agree that for the price, you can't beat it. No one else has .454 at this price. Saving all my brass, as one day I will get around to reloading my own."
