M1613 Aluminum Partially Serrated Spear Point Knife -
The M1613 has an aluminum and charcoal grey anodized handle with a partially serrated spear point blade. Ambidextrous thumb studs with checkered surface provide instant access in any circumstance. The M16 spear point includes the new AutoLAWKS advanced blade locking safety, which automatically converts the knife into a virtual fixed blade when opened. Knife is manufactured from 6061 T6 Aluminum and dual 420J2 stainless steel liner InterFrame. Teflon bearings at the blade pivot and an adjustable pivot screw allow for perfect blade action. All M1613 knife models feature the "Carson Flipper" extension to the blade, which aids opening and acts as an additional blade guard. It makes the M16 Aluminum knife line especially easy to open in the field while wearing gloves.

Spear Point Blade -
The classic stabbing blade is the spear point which can have two edges sharpened or only one with a false edge on the spine. The spear point usually has both edges taper equally to a point that is e xactly in the center of the blade but sometimes has different profiles for the spine and edge.

Serrated Blade -
A serrated blade has a cutting edge that has many small points of contact with the material being cut. By having less contact area than a smooth blade, the applied force at each point of contact is relatively greater and the points of contact are at a sharper angle to the material being cut.

AUS 8 -
A Japanese made medium carbon, high chromium stainless steel, which offers a good balance of toughness, edge sharpness and corrosion resistance.

Ambidextrous - Using both hands with equal ease. Pertaining to knives, it is a knife that is not solely designed for a left or right handed person but can be used with equal ease by both hands.

Many CRKT folders feature the patented Lake and Walker Knife Safety system. This system converts folders into virtual fixed blades when the blade is opened and locked, and when the LAWKS lever is slid forward. To fold the knife, simply slide the lever back, and release the liner.
