"This is THE book for determining the value of your gun. It goes into great specific details on the history and factors that have bearing on a gun's value. For example my 1943 Walther P-38 is the gun that in WWII replaced the WWI German Luger used again in WWII initially while P-38's were being introduced as replacement. The book explains that 3 manufacturers were used to make P-38s with most being made by Mauser whereas Walther made 2nd most and mine was made by Spreewerke (Czecholslavakia) shown by cyq code on the slide and the rough machining was explained in the book as due to later stage production forgoing finish to speed up the output to meet demand and it validated my 2 digit serial number with an i after it: 1 to 10,000 followed by a letter a to z."
