Trekker Series Elk Hunter Fixed Blade Knife -
This drop point style blade is an American classic that has been used for decades for field dressing and skinning big game. The long skinning radius is very useful for long slicing cuts. Knife comes with an Orange Suregrip handle for easy location. Also comes with an American made, vegetable tanned, oiled split grained cowhide sheath.
Drop Point Blade -
This blade has a gentle, sloping convex curve to the point versus the concave curve of the clip blade. Being thicker, this blade point is stronger for heavier tasks. It stands up to abuse well, but isn't as effective for easy penetration.
Full Tang -
The term full tang means that the knife and sword is one solid piece with the two handle pieces are pinned on to the blade, one on each side. This is the strongest of the tang types. Half tang knives go the length of the knife handle, but only half the width of it.
Material is an air hardened tool steel, which offers good corrosion resistance and excellent mileage in wear resistance. This is a good choice for hard use applications.
