Trekker Series Whitetail Hunter Fixed Blade Knife -
Made with the same premium quality D2 Tool Steel, care, and dedication to performance we place in all our products, we have designed these three classic styled blades for the performance and weight conscious hunter. Those hunters who climb the highest, hunt the longest, and require a no nonsense blade when it's time to put the meat on the pole. We reduced the weight by using an integral finger guard rather than a separate and heavier bolster and finger guard and by designing in two large cutouts in the super strong full tang handle. These modifications make these knives lighter and result in a perfectly balanced blade with the weight forward towards the tip. Responding to countless requests from outdoorsmen who have mislaid their knife while field dressing, we are offering the Trekkers in Hunter Orange as well as traditional black.
Drop Point Blade -
This blade has a gentle, sloping convex curve to the point versus the concave curve of the clip blade. Being thicker, this blade point is stronger for heavier tasks. It stands up to abuse well, but isn't as effective for easy penetration.
Gut Hook Blade -
The gut hook is used by making a small incision with the main blade, then by using the hook to cut open the abdomen. For great performance when field dressing game, a gut, or skinning hook is an ideal tool.
Material is an air hardened tool steel, which offers good corrosion resistance and excellent mileage in wear resistance. This is a good choice for hard use applications.
Full Tang -
The term full tang means that the knife and sword is one solid piece with the two handle pieces are pinned on to the blade, one on each side. This is the strongest of the tang types. Half tang knives go the length of the knife handle, but only half the width of it.
