(Sun Optics) Flip to Side 30mm Magnifier Mount

The innovative design is perfect for reflex type red dot sights magnifiers using 30mm tubes. Once installed on your rifle's picatinny rail, the magnifier may be flipped out of your line of sight by simply pulling rearward to unlock the mount. Pull rearward again to immediately reposition the optic in its original position; this is one mount and a torx wrench.

"I purchased this item thinking I could save some money and get just a basic FTS mount. Unfortunately, the flip to side feature did not work. You could not physically pull the spring-loaded lock to make it pivot. I tried everything. I do not recommend this item. However, of all the things I have purchased from CTD, this is the first one that I returned. CTD still has a pretty good record with me, though."

"This unit is a little hard to flip out at first. The more you work it the easier it gets. With a little practice it gets easier too. A little oil on the hinges doesnt hurt either. To me this mount is comparable to the LaRue FTS Mount, just at a cheaper price (about half the cost). I emailed Sun Optics for some specifications on both models available. The CRFTS-1 is 1 from top of rail to center of ring and the CRFTS-2 is 7/8 to 1 inch from top of rail to center of ring. I chose the taller one so that the magnifier would co-witness with my Aimpoint and current mount, which is inline with my iron sights. I only gave the FTS 4 bullets on account that the screws for the mounting ring use a torxs head instead of an allen screws, like everything else in the industry. Overall I am happy with my purchase."

"I was skeptical after reading the only two reviews on here, and I wasn't able to find much about it online. If you want to use a magnifier, especially one that may need a ring that comes fully apart to fit the Mako/Primary Arms older models, this is what you want, especially for EOTechs. First off, I was under the assumption, by reading the description, that you grab the magnifier, pull it toward you, thus enabling the mag to be flipped. That's not the case; with mine at least? It simply has rivets that stop, lock it in place, and you just flip it out of your way; no pulling. I didn't like that at first, but after playing with it, it's sturdy and very well built imho. You can unscrew the bolt that tightens it to the rail, remove it, and turn it around if you would like the mount to flip the other way. I wanted mine to flip to the right of my rifle for charging handle purposes; just my preference. I gave four bullets instead of five for two reasons. One, it had zero paperwork or instructions for the windage and elevation screws. Two, right after purchasing, I found the same dang mount on another site for cheaper. That's not like Cheaper Than Dirt at all. So, CTD, let's do something about that, huh?! If you want a solid mount that, like another reviewer mentioned, is LaRue quality, this is a great mount, especially if you're using an EOTech, especially a raised base model like the 516 and XPS."
