The Dozier Anchorage Pro Skinner has full tang construction; riveted black (with green - gray undertones) Micarta handle slabs, and a lined lanyard hole. A genuine leather sheath is included with this Boker knife. The Boker Dozier Anchorage Pro Skinner has an overall length of 8", and weighs 4.9 ounces. This knife is imported from China.
Skinner Blade -
A cutting blade made of surgical stainless steel with a very small angled back hone, a small grind angle, a small angled front hone, and a reduced size included angle, which has an increased hardness that results in a longer lasting narrow edge geometry blade that has a reasonable cost with increased durability and accuracy, providing greater cutting precision, productivity and net yields, while reducing the compression of the blade and processing downtime.
AUS 8 -
A Japanese made medium carbon, high chromium stainless steel, which offers a good balance of toughness, edge sharpness and corrosion resistance.
Full Tang -
The term full tang means that the knife and sword is one solid piece with t he two handle pieces are pinned on to the blade, one on each side. This is the strongest of the tang types. Half tang knives go the length of the knife handle, but only half the width of it.
Lanyard Hole -
This is a hole to fit a lanyard, rope or carrying implement through.
Hollow Ground -
The ground surface of the blade is concave and used to create a fine cutting edge.
