Renner Neckolas Full Tag Fixed Blade Knife -
The Columbia River Renner Neckolas serrated knife combines the precise handling and comfort of an index finger ring with the strength and speedy deployment of a fixed blade. Full tang, 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade features a blunt tip and full serration, perfect for whitewater and rescue purposes. Lightweight Micarta sheath and handle scales have an impressive strength to weight ratio. Innovative sheath system releases and captures blade with the same simple and secure pinch motion. Removable and reversible clip system allows knife to be carried on right or left side; included nylon lanyard lets knife be worn around the neck.

Drop Point Blade -
This blade has a gentle, sloping convex curve to the point versus the concave curve of the clip blade. Being thicker, this blade point is stronger for heavier tasks. It stands up to abuse well, but isn't as effective for easy penetration.

Serrated Blade -
A serrated blade has a cutting edge that has many small points of contact with the material being cut. By having less contact area than a smooth blade, the applied force at each point of contact is relatively gr eater and the points of contact are at a sharper angle to the material being cut.

Fixed Blade -
A fixed blade is a solid piece of steel, anchored to the handle without any folding mechanisms. It's durable and holds up well against the elements.

Full Tang -
The term full tang means that the knife and sword is one solid piece with the two handle pieces are pinned on to the blade, one on each side. This is the strongest of the tang types. Half tang knives go the length of the knife handle, but only half the width of it.

8Cr13MoV -
Chinese stainless steel tempered at the Rc56 to Rc58 range and used in the Tenacious, Persistence, and Byrd lines of knives.

Lanyard Hole -
This is a hole to fit a lanyard, rope or carrying implement through.
