"I am very well familiar with using the best (Gen3) of NVG's as I was a Team Leader for an Infantry squad in the 82nd Airborne with 3 deployments to Iraq. Needless to say, I have numerous hours using night vision in the field under the most extreme circumstances (minus cold). I was amazed at how well this affordable product performed and still am nearly a year later. It has an adjustable diopter (sp?), so it can be adjusted to your vision and for distant/close-up viewing. It's illuminator is comparable to Gen3 NVG's, so you are able to view everything (with lil lume). Another decent benefit is the head gear that comes with it so you are able to have your hands free. It will still be better mounted on a helmet but it is surprisingly more comfortable than the Army's \"skull-crushers\" which says a lot. Overall, I would spend my money twice over before buying another NVG that's two-three times the price."

"I have always wanted to own a night vision optic. I figured I would give this one a try since it was relatively inexpensive. I have no other experience with night vision, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I am extremely pleased with this optic. It has worked great for over a year."
