These 3" 12 Gauge Remington Slugger High Velocity shells use a 7/8 Ounce Lead Rifled Slug at 1875 fps, making it a great round for hunting deer or other medium game in places that allow only shotguns for them.

Remington introduces the first high velocity Foster style lead slug. This higher velocity slug exits the barrel at 1800 fps, 13% faster than standard 1 oz. slugs. The 7/8 oz. Slugger High Velocity delivers 200 ft/lbs more energy at 50 yards with flatter trajectory on deer than standard 1 oz. slugs. Produced in most popular slug loadings - 2 3/4" and 3" 12 gauge and 2 3/4" 20 gauge with a 1/2 oz. lead slug. Designed for the avid deer hunter using smooth bore guns.

5 rounds per box. To buy a full case, order 50 boxes.

Ammo price is per box

"Tested in 2 ea. 870's & a 590A1 Mossberg - At 50 yards this grouped 2-4 inches with bead & Iron sights - About equal to a 45/70 at short range - Stout Recoil and Rifle-Like Velocity - (Good enough that I got a case of it)"

"I shot these shells out of my Smith & Wesson 916A Eastfield using a Tasco 3-9x32mm Scope at 50 yards and They were Tac Drivers. I had groupings of 2-3 inches at 75 yards and 3-5 inch groupings at 100 yards. They are great. Looking forward to this years Hunt."

"I am giving these rounds a 3 bullet rating so I don't scare anyone off unnecessarily, I just want to keep anyone from making the same mistake I did. I am new to hunting with Slugs (been taking deer with rifles for the last 20 years). Went to the range today to sight in a new barrel and was all over the paper with these - best advice I got came too late... Rifled slugs like these for smooth bore barrels and sabots or unrifled slugs for rifled barrels. These ones left my end just fine, had plenty of recoil, but were all over the paper at 50 yards with a Mossburg 835 & rifled barrel. Switched to some Remington Buckhammers and put the next 3 shots touching in the top of the 10-ring."

"Don't let the last review from New Slug Hunter lead you wrong. These are great slug shells from the smooth bore cylinder barrel.Yes they have a WOW & Ouch recoil, But all the same they are near to straight line up to 50 Yards and a 3 to 5 inch drop at 100 Yards. This is the advise form a seasoned shotgun hunter and not a rookie."

"I rated these slugs 5 stars because they have shown the best performance from what I have used. I don't have extensive experience in using slug guns but these have worked the best for me. I can put 5 shot groups at 100yrds measuring 3\" out of a cylinder bore 18.5\" barrel in my remington 870 express mag using only a barska red dot. I've also been able to touch slugs at 50yrds. They really do kick compared to other slugs so a nice recoil pad can mean life or death. lol my slip on limbsaver pad makes it possible for me to do a lot more practicing before season."

"I've been using these down at the inddor range and they work great. They do have some serious kick but they are pretty darn accurate. I had my target at 50 yards and was sighting in my laser and the kick was a little too strong for my cheap laser and it would stop working after a few shots but I'm very impressed with these slugs. I was using them in a tactical Remington 870 pump. I believe my gun has a fixed choke."

"I've been using these 3\" and the 2 3/4\" high velocity slugs from Remington. I use them in my 870 tactical pump w/laser as well as my Saiga 12 gauge assault rifle. I have a simple led green/red dot site on my Saiga (no optic/zoom just a site) and I was standing up at the range and hit the 50 yard target every time, exactly where I was aiming. I did the same thing with my 870 tactical pump but like the other guy said in his review, my green laser would quit working after a few rounds. I'm assuming due to the serious kick that the cheap lasers can't hold up. The laser worked fine a few minutes later."

"I use these in my Saiga 12 with a Tapco stock and recoil is minimal with amazing accuracy."
