Chad Los Banos Subcom Titan Folding Knife -
The Subcom Folder from Chad Los Banos was one of the keystones of the Boker Plus lineup, and quickly became one of the most popular designs from Boker. As a show of appreciation to Chad and all the loyal fans of this exceptional knife concept, we are offering a very special version, and are proud to present the Subcom Folder as a Titanium Framelock. To maintain the original dimensions, the handle scales are CNC milled with maximum precision. The original handle pattern is also milled in the scale to show the bridging, just like the original. The two tone titanium scales feature bead blasted and fine satin finished parts, creating, in combination with the titanium clip, a very distinctive appearance. Blade steel is high performance 440C stainless. This knife is a real Boker Plus classic in a modern, high tech package.

440C Stainless Steel -
This type of steel is a high chromium stainless steel with a terrific balance of good hardness and corrosion resistance. 440C takes a nice edge and is fairly easy to re sharpen. An excellent value priced steel for its performance.

Frame Lock -
Also known as the Integral Lock or Monolock. The Frame Lock is a locking mechanism invented by custom knife maker Chris Reeve for the Sebenzas an update to the liner lock. The Frame Lock works in a manner similar to the liner lock but uses a partial cutout of the  actual knife handle, rather than a separate liner inside the handle to hold the blade in place.

Bead Blast Finish -
can be defined as any non reflective finish applied to the metal surface by bead blasting or sand blasting the blade with any of a variety of media. The intent is to roughen the surface for anti glare. The trade off is it tends to be more susceptible to corrosion due to the increased surface area exposed. This finish is also commonly referred to as a "military finish".
