Pro Second Amendment gun owners need a strong showing this fall to keep, and ideally expand, pro gun control of both chambers. Please get out and do your part, and encourage others to do the same. The anti-freedom groups are motivated, organized, and well-funded. Bloomberg has pledged to spend $80 Million in house races alone.

While having another Supreme Court justice with a record of upholding the original intent of the Second Amendment would be a win for gun owners, Judge Kavanaugh is far from being confirmed. Several forces, within the media, political circles, special interest groups, and grass roots efforts are rising up to oppose Kavanaugh. If you are a supporter of the Second Amendment, this is an opportunity to make your voice heard and ensure the confirmation of a new justice that protect the Second Amendment for the next generation.
Every time the mainstream media covers an unlawful shooting, why is it that the lawful gun owners get the blame? Of course, the mainstream media is not the only one to blame. Gun control advocates are all too willing to use any tragedy as a fundraiser, targeting lawful gun owners and Second Amendment groups such as the NRA.
The National Rifle Association (NRA) has announced that retired Marine Corps Lt. Col. Oliver North will become the next president of the association “within a few weeks.” The news stunned some in that Pete Brownell (abruptly) decided not to run for a second term, Both the NRA’s first and second vice presidents were also unable to take the position, but none of that dampened the enthusiasm for North.
Last week, The Shooter’s Log, covered the reaction from firearm owners and supporters of the Second Amendment to YETI’s decision to no longer support the NRA. Disgruntled patrons expressed their ire in a number of ways including blowing up YETI products with Tannerite, burning them, placing toilet seats and on them (and doing what naturally comes next), and destroying and defiling them in several other creative ways. Earlier this year, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the law and ruled against the pro Second Amendment forces in Kolbe v. Hogan. However, Kolbe v. Hogan is a direct contradiction of the Supreme Court’s 2008 decision, District of Columbia v. Heller. The Heller decision, of course, famously re-affirmed American citizens’ right to self-defense. Fortunately, the good citizens of Maryland are done with the fight. In fact a group of citizens, with the support of the National Rifle Association, filed a petition to the United States Supreme Court on Friday seeking to reverse the Court of Appeals’ ruling.
