|I ordered my 552 after much squeamishness about the price. Mounted it on a 20" AR-15 in .223, was close to a 50 yd zero right off the bat. With a little tweaking I was getting 2 inch grouping with careful shot placement. The nut pulling the trigger was more limiting that then gun or sight, for sure.
At 100 yards, I put all 17 shots within a 12" target. With more careful shooting it could be tightened up.
Blazing fast target acquisition and rugged construction.
Brightness adjustment range is great. NV mode is also great. It's just uncomfortable to use a gun with goggles on, IMO. Maybe I am missing something in the technique. An outdoors test is in order.
Wish I had gotten the 'side buttons' model for future attachment of flip-over magnifier in addition to BUIS. I removed my UTG BUIS after mounting the scope, but they would work great. BUIS line up right in the middle of the sight picture.
I wish the reticle were more sharp. There is some fuzz, which I have read is intentional, but it's not for me. I think long range shooting would be enhanced with a sharper reticle.
For close quarters on up to 100 yards, (probably 200 if you are steady and have good vision) this is a great sight.|
