5.0 Rating Best weather radio for the money - 5/22/2015

No problems with tracking shipping on time etc. All good so far. My only complaint, a weak one for an electrician, is that the antenna could be MUCH better. It could have been made to easily unscrew from the radio so a shortwave long wire type could be plugged in. Easily remedied, get a coil of approx. 28 gauge wire, attach an alligator clip to one end, put clip on antenna. Stretch the rest out as far and high as you can. Dramatically improves shortwave.

5.0 Rating Excellent Emergency Radio - 6/17/2014
Reviewer: David Lay
This radio was everything advertised. Light weight, multiple power sources, it sounds great and so many different bands to choose from. I didn't find the crank to be a problem in a pinch, I just cranked it slowly as expected. I leave it in a sunlit window and it stays charged via solar. The fact that it has a USB for charging phones and other devices sold me. Thinking about purchasing additional ones for family.

5.0 Rating Best Emergency Radio - 2/28/2013

This is a great emergency radio. You can run it with at least four different energy sources. (AC, AA Batteries, Crank, Solar) It does not come with a A/C adapter to charge the internal battery but a USB is provided. You can plug the USB into most cell phone chargers to charge it. You can also use the crank or solar ( not the preferred method - crank is better ) to charge other electronics like cell phone. It seems fairly well made but it will be in the home and not be abused. I have read some bad reviews on the crank. It is not designed to be cranked quickly. Don't try to spin the crank at 100 rpm and it works fine.

5.0 Rating Very Cool - 8/10/2011

Out of the box it ran for almost 2 hours on one minute of cranking. I haven't got to see how the solar charge does yet. This little radio does it all, well worth the money!
