4.0 Rating Very satisfied - 10/5/2015
Reviewer: Bob
Normally I'm too lazy to write reviews, but I received this product in the mail today, and it wouldn't be fair for me not to give it a review. A wee back story. I had a "universal" shotgun foregrip on my Mossberg 500, and it broke after 15 rounds. Never buy "universal". The first thing I noticed upon unboxing was the grip felt very solid, and wasn't too skinny, as I feel some forends are. The best part, however, is that if you choose to mount the rail to the forend, the screws holding it in place run through sideways instead of straight up into the bottom. That makes their hold far more secure, because they screw into sunken hex nuts on the other side, instead of depending on screws to grip flimsy plastic of questionable thickness. Currently I only have the included Velcro strap mounted. The velcro's grip feels very secure and I believe I can trust it to hold up for a long time. The last step is to get it to the range and test it out. I can't wait. And one last note. I only rated this product 4/5 instead of 5/5 is because the included rail is made of polymer. I'd definitely have given it 5/5 if the rail was made of aluminum, but that's just me.

2.0 Rating rough start but happy w/result - 9/15/2012
Reviewer: mossy835
Admittedly, I put this on a Mossberg 835, and I'm not sure how much that differs from a Mossberg 500. But it took 90 minutes with a Dremel. I had to make the opening at the front wider in order to put the locking ring back on the tube, and I had to extend the opening in the back, where the relief is for the action bars about 5/8 of an inch to get it to fit right. By that I mean, so that the front of the forend lined up with where the locking ring would be screwed on. Product is good, and if I didn't have to use the Dremel, I'd have given 5 bullets. Still very happy I bought it, and didn't even consider returning it.
