Best little flashlight I've ever had. Wish they would bring it back. I'd buy several more.

4.0 Rating Survival/backup light!! - 7/20/2012

The Ruger LCP is a small, light weight, and very bright flashlight. The fit and finish of this light is very good cosmetically (even after some intentional abuse and drops), though the checkering of the handle could be more aggressive for a greater traction plan. The on/off mode tail cap button provides good tactile response, and seems to be fairly durable, as I have had no problems with on/off or with changing brightness, or accessing the S.O.S. mode. The beam will illuminate a room with nearly the same brightness as a Streamlight Stinger (my benchmark), but outside, the throw is not as potent. However, it does flood the immediate surroundings well. The reflector is plain (no orange peel), and the lens seems to be convex on the inside. There were no crazy artifacts in the beam, though the beam is somewhat square when fully focused (beam is adjustable). The beam emitter head dose warm up some after a minute or two, but has not given me any problems. Another plus is that the light works fine with rechargeable CR123 batteries. In my opinion, the only real downside is that the light will not fit into a 1" light holder for weapon mounting. So if you are looking for a small and lightweight weapon light, you will have to try the Ruger Squadron instead (testing in progress). However, if you're looking for a great, cost-effective flash-light for the Zromney-Baracalypse, this is your ticket!
