5.0 Rating Outstanding - 6/2/2011

This ammo was one of three boxes of various brands I bought for testing at the 100 yard range. I used my Mini-30 with iron sights and got great groups of an inch. For this round to be within one inch at 100 yards I think it demands 5 bullets. No stink, no failures of any sort and perfect shot placements. Will be buying more.

5.0 Rating For AR-15s - 11/4/2010
Reviewer: MSE
If you're looking for SKS or AK ammo, go ahead and save money with Wolf or other cheap manufacturers - those Eastern European rifles will eat anything. My problem was a DPMS 7.62x39 AR-15 with one of those new 30-round clips by C Products. A very finicky rifle. I tried Fiocchi, Wolf, and others. I had lots of misfires (firing pin didn't impact the primer properly) and failures to load. Plus, you're not supposed to use steel case or lacquered ammo with the AR, though these brass cartridges failed also. I fired 200+ rounds of this Eagle ammo though and not one misfire or failure occurred. Since the AR platform in non-standard calibers can be so finicky, esp with the new high-cap magazines, I consider this ammo a very lucky find. Winchester Super-X also works great, but it's twice the price of this.

5.0 Rating Accuaracy - 4/6/2010
Reviewer: SKS QA
I have a YUGO 59/66 with Murray's firing pin kit. I tested 3 types of 7.62x39 ammo w/a bipod from 25 yards just to see the bullet placement on a target. Wolf, Fiocchi, and American Eagle were all tested from a laying down "sniper" position if you will and held all rounds aimed at a specific location on the target. The American Eagle shot grouping was by far the best by a significant margin. Just over an inch grouping with standard iron sights. If you want accuarcy (especially at long ranges), this is the one for you. If you want to just blast and have fun, then Wolf is probably your best bet. Always have to remember, you get what you paid for.

5.0 Rating Excellent!!! - 6/12/2009

American Eagle ammo is AWESOME!I have run 4 boxes of this through my Chinese SKS and it is so stupidly accurate and consistent until it isn't funny anymore. Best of all, for those who hate to clean their guns(excluding myself, I love it personally)it has a very clean powder charge and leaves little to no residue. BUY IT! SHOOT IT! It's The Best.

5.0 Rating match accurate - 8/28/2008
Reviewer: Bill27VA
This ammo has performed with match winning accuracy in my SKS carbines and AK47. Our club has a monthly "military rifle shoot" and this Federal ammo was tested against every box I had of foreign made ammo. The brass is reloadable and that is another plus. All ammo has become pricey, but when "10s" count, I use these American Eagles to fly true.
