|For the price, this bag can't be beat - period. Heavy material, good soft lined interior. Although not terribly thick, the padding is firm and compact so bag is not too bulky (even slim-ish). Great to have the mag holders and acces. pouch outside as on much more expensive bags. Flaps are well-designed, as the pockets expand outward to accommodate wide mags, the velcro covers a large area so you aren't forced to try and stretch the flap to secure it
Other nice touches include a protected (but not with a large flap) zipper inside to avoid scratching , a nice flap at the narrow end to keep barrels from punching thru the bag over time, and a carry strap which apparently is designed to tote the bag on one's back with strap across chest for long hauls when you need both hands and can't or prefer not to use the heavy-duty nylon "suitcase handle" which is stitched all around the case.
Only gripes are minor and design-related:
The ext. pouch flap is about 20" or more of velcro. For a pocket flap that long, a zipper would work better (to open, can you say RRRrrRRRrrrRRRRiiiiiiiiiip?).
As with other bags that open fully and flat out, the zipper is a bit finicky to start back toward closing. Otherwise it is silky smooth and substantial.
Again, great bag for price. To get 5 stars, one would need to spend well over $100.|
