|This review is "part B" to my review of MAG-352. The Springield Armory magazine offers great reliability and unbelievable construction, but only gets a rating of 4 bullets because of the steep price.
The SA magazine is built to a higher standard, and it shows. 13 large, perfectly centered spot welds join the magazine in the front, while 4 perfect welds attach the heavy lug on the back of the mag.
It fits, feeds, and functions with near-100% reliability (I have had one FTF, but I'm not sure that I had seated the magazine properly). Fit is rock-solid, with the expected tiny amount of play.
If your goal is to send lots of rounds downrange in a short amount of time, then spend the same money and buy 3X of MAG-352. If your goal is to have a reliable mag or two for range or other use, then save up if you have to, and buy the real SA magazine.
