|This is my very first handgun and I have loved it ever since I started reading about it.
The gun has performed very well so far. The grip is rubber which helps out when gripping the firearm.
Seeing how it is a .45 ACP, it is very powerful.
The safety is easy to understand, disassembly and reassembly are easy, but cleaning the gun is not.
The black finish on the gun comes off easily on the inside of the slide and on the slide rails. The finish that is visible on the outside stays mostly intact. It is disappointing to see the finish coming off so early on. I figured it'd take years before the finish would start to either peel off or be scratched off.
Cleaning takes a long time, at least a good 30 minutes, in order to get a thorough, long lasting clean. No matter how little oil you use to lubricate, the oil continuously seeps out, becomes visible, and gets all over your hand(s).
When the manual says a drop of oil here and there, it must mean microscopic drops.
After 200 rounds fired through the firearm, I only had 1 jam and I figured that was mainly human error.
Other than the weak finish and long cleaning process, the firearm has proven to be reliable so far.|
