5.0 Rating Steyr 300 Win Mag - 10/18/2013
Reviewer: SUB-MOA
I put a Nightforce 5.5-22 NXS on her and at 1400 yards I'm drilling my 10" target with my reloads over and over and over.... Hit a coyote at 1024 yds and it looked like he got hit with by a truck going 90mph! Recoil isn't as bad as you'd think. Getting a second magazine is like herding cats, nearly impossible which is my only complaint. I'd buy another if my wife would let me. Best gun I ever purchased.

5.0 Rating Extremely accurate rifle - 12/14/2012
Reviewer: The gun guy
I bought this rifle a year ago as an upgrade to a 7mm that I was using as a target and hunting rifle. I wanted an accurate bolt action to fill both rolls and was concerned about weight as well as performance, as I frequently hunt antelope and elk in Wyoming. This rifle has surpassed my expectations by far. After a 50 round break in period, I started to measure the groups. While working through about four different hand loads, I am now shooting .17 inch groups at 100 and sub MOA groups at my recent shooting session at 450 yards. To truly appreciate this rifle's capabilities, do not measure 100 yard groups. Start measuring past 300. Even with a hot barrel, this rifle will still group sub MOA, with no shot walking. If you miss the target, it will not be the rifle's fault.

4.0 Rating Great rifle - 12/3/2012
Reviewer: XManSV
This rifle has a silky smooth action. The barrel has a barber pole swirl on the outside that looks great. The barrel is super easy to clean, I assume because of the hammer forging. The barrel is not as stiff as my Savage 100ba in .300, so I am tuning a load to it, but it has shot under 1 MOA and I believe I can achieve that consistently. The trigger is crisp and the safety system includes a mode that allows you to safely carry the gun chambered, without change of discharge as the firing pin is blocked. The forearm is weaker than would be best, but I think I'm going to do some custom Dremeling and add a rail to the bottom. You can remove the extended magazine housing and use flush hunting mags.
