|I ordered a half dozen of these and they worked just fine in my S&W 1911. Smooth, reliable feed so far on all six, but one of them had a manufacturing defect in the follower that keeps it from locking the slide back when it runs dry, and makes magazine release less than optimal. Springfield was happy to do an exchange, and stands behind their product.
I've heard from several people that the magazine "cannot be disassembled" which is utter nonsense... wear safety glasses and keep magazine pointed away from face, push the follower down about halfway, and stick a hex key or pin punch or something through the witness holes to detain the spring. Tip the magazine to dump out the follower, and then point in a safe direction (or cover with hand if you have tough hands) and release the spring, which will shoot out. Assemble in reverse, and make sure the spring is properly seated and oriented under the follower.|
