|So, if you buy a $30 buttstock, and expect its quality to rival a $100 buttstock, then you are to blame.
For what it is, it works, and doesn't look bad, either.
Now the bad: the inside of the buffer tube is NASTY! Rough, pitted, and flash left from the holes drilled for the position divots. The buffer weighs only 2.8 oz, and cannot be disassembled to add some tungsten weights to it. The plastic on the position lever is soft, and after sliding the stock a couple times, you can start to see the wear caused by the nut. Also, I don't know if this was intentional or not, but the sling mount swivels!
For what it's worth, if you're going for a budget build, go for it! I did!
Otherwise, don't buy it because you'll just have something to complain about, and nobody wants that.
ALSO, this is not military spec! It's commercial spec, meaning the threads are 1.169" dia and the back of the buffer tube is slanted 5 degrees, and doesn't sit flush with the stock when closed. It looks recessed about 1/4".|
