|I ordered this on a Saturday and had it the following Friday. First, I'm going to get the "Bad" out of the way. I thought the process for installing the rails was unnecessarily difficult. It wasn't too bad, but I just feel as though it could have been done easier. I was a little disappointed that the rails were plastic. They seem durable, but I would have preferred metal. All in all, once I got the rails on, I was happy with them. They seem to be quite sturdy. I haven't gotten out to shoot yet since putting this stock on. I'm anxious to try it out. It's an extremely comfortable stock, and it's beefy for a synthetic stock. I think it added about 3-4 pounds to the weight of my rifle.
I ordered it in the Desert Tan, but in actuality, it's more of an O.D./Khaki color, which I'm okay with. It's a darker color than pictured. Installation was simple. It took me longer to put the rails in and cheek rest on than to install it on the rifle itself. I found that I don't need the tube drop adapter for my iron sights, even with the cheek rest on. At its lowest setting, I can still use my iron sights just fine.
Overall, I'm really happy with this stock. I'm not crazy about the folding function, but for transporting, it's nice and fits in my case better when folded up. The collapsing/folding functions work fine and the buttstock wobbles a bit on the buffer tube. I'm not worried about it, as the collapsible stock on my shotgun does the same thing and still works just fine. If you want to give your 10/22 a mean, tactical look that's easy to customize, I recommend this stock.|
