Right out of the box, it looks great. Not a single problem with it. Longer than I expected it to be, which was a plus.
Installation? What installation? You need a flat head screwdriver for ONE screw. The directions are over-complicated, regardless of how easy it is to discern them. Push out a pin, put the mount on, replace the pin with a screw without over tightening it, pump the forend back, unscrew that tiny screw in the ejector rail, replace with a slightly bigger screw (included), tighten the nut down that it also came with, and there you go. I know it was a waste of time to write that down here, but I figured it might help you decide that this is a good decision.
It holds in place VERY firmly. Mine doesn't move, shake, or rattle whatsoever.
The one and ONLY problem that someone might have with this is that is WILL scratch the shotgun underneath the mount. But you're putting a mount on it, which will hide any damage anyway... so... Who cares?
Put a red dot sight on the rail with no problem. ALSO, even with the mount installed, you can see underneath it. Imagine it to be another sight for those with shorter barrels with only one bead.|
