|The .410 is intended for the gentleman that wants an easy to handle shotgun. NOT FOR BEGINNERS! Better for experienced shooters that perhaps are a little better than most. If you're not, stick with a 20 gauge and a modified choke.
The #4 load is good for pheasant and some duck shooting. You have to be good to place that relatively small load of shot onto your target. Most .410 shotguns come with a full choke to give the proper pattern density on your target. The shot charge travels at the same speed, but is smaller in diameter than "the gauges". (.410 is the bore diameter, not gauge.)|
