This works well in my Polish military flare gun. It's not as accurate as other guns I own, but it's accurate enough for my purposes. Good for target practice, then switch to the .45 LC insert when you need to say hello to a target.

This insert is perfect and gives you a use for your flare gun when you can't find or don't want to shoot $3.50 flares. It works well with all types of .22LR ammo, from ratshot, to hollowpoints, to tracers. The cases bulge a bit, and require a cleaning rod or other metal rod to push them out of the chamber. This is the reason for four bullets. This item turns a flare gun into the ultimate survival tool for backpacking or boating.
