Original M2A1 Military ammo cans are used extensively in the field to transport a variety of calibers of ammunition to the troops. The can features a removable lid with a rubber gasket seal, flat folding handle for carrying, lever-lock lid that is lockable, and they are constructed of heavy gauge steel. These are ideal for storing ammunition and they are stackable. All the cans have many years of use left in them, and since they are original military there will be military markings on the outside and they may need to be cleaned. Grade I. Non-returnable.

All Military surplus products are used, the condition of the products varies, and the quantities may be limited.
Surplus condition scale:
Grade I - Used in like new to excellent condition.
Grade II - Used in good condition, may show minor use.
Grade III - Used in fair condition, will show normal wear and tear from daily use.

After reading the most recent reviews, I was hesitant to order this ammo can, so I ordered three of the .30 cal cans and one .50 cal can. I wish I had ordered more of the .50! The .30s were in immaculate shape (for used) and the .50 was above average. It had some spray paint on the side, so that's why it didn't get 5 bullets, but there's no rust and it opens and closes with ease. There was a little bit of sand inside, but that just gives it character.

This was not Grade I and the locking clamp on the front came so bent it could not be opened with a pry bar. Now it can't be closed, so the container for its intended purpose (safe and dry storage of ammo) is not functional. CTD should take a look at product before shipping it. At this price, not worth the cost.

These came a mess. Rusty and dirty inside and out. One even had enough water in it to "pour" out. Not very impressed. Gun show sellers at least wipe theirs down.

Very disappointed in what arrived today. I understood these cans would be used, but these have been thru a war: rusted, dented, hinges on lid bent and out of alignment, filthy and containing dead leaves and who knows what else. I spent an hour cleaning and working the hinges free with WD-40. If these are CTD's best and like new, I would hate to see Grade II or III. Would send them back for a refund if I could.

This was my second time ordering these cans. Both times, the cans were in like new condition. I am leery about ordering more in the future, based on the reviews that some people got what they considered to be Grade III cans. Next time, I'll probably order the case of new cans and split them up with a buddy.
