Original Military ammo cans are used extensively in the field to transport a variety of calibers of ammunition to the troops. The cans feature a removable lid with a rubber gasket seal, flat folding handle for carrying, lever-lock lid that is lockable, and they are constructed of heavy gauge steel. These are ideal for storing ammunition and they are stackable. All the cans are used, but like new. Grade of usage varies by can. Since they are original military there will be military markings on the outside. Non-returnable. Each can is described by Grade, Grade I cans are in like new condition; Grade III are used in fair condition and may have dents, rust, paint, scratches, discoloration, and will show wear.

All Military surplus products are used, the condition of the products varies, and the quantities may be limited. Unfortunately, we can not accept backorders or returns on any surplus products.
. Surplus condition scale: Grade I - Used in like new to excellent condition.
Grade II - Used in good condition, may show minor use.
Grade III - Used in fair condition, will show normal wear and tear from daily use.

Definitely not the Grade 1 as advertised. More like Grade 3, but still wasn't in horrible condition. There was some rust on the edges and the inside of the can (will clean up), and a couple small, but deep, dents on the sides. The reason I'm rating the can so highly despite the condition is that it still seals up, still is very solid, and the paint is all original. Just by sheer luck the labeling on the side is exactly for the same ammo I was going to carry in it - 7.62mm.

I bought one of these over a year ago. More ammo requires more cans, so I bought 5 on one order. 4 of the 5 were 9 of 10 condition, the 5th was about a 7 of 10 and just needed a cleaning. All the rubber seals in near new shape. VERY happy with these. All 6 match and mate together perfectly, despite ordering 1 year apart. Not the best packing job by CTD (light on packing material), but it did arrive in fine shape. Last note, these aren't lockable without mod'ing. Keep that in mind.

These ammo cans came in looking barely used at all. The paint was all there, with no scratches or dents. I dont know if i got the odds one out of the bunch or what, but i am highly satisfied.

I ordered two of these. One was Grade I and the other was probably closer to Grade II. However, they went on backorder shortly after I ordered mine so they were probably scraping the bottom of the barrel. The seals are still good so they'll work fine for my needs.
