Original Military ammo cans are used extensively in the field to transport a variety of calibers of ammunition to the troops. The cans feature a removable lid with a rubber gasket seal, flat folding handle for carrying, lever-lock lid that is lockable, and they are constructed of heavy gauge steel. These are ideal for storing ammunition and they are stackable. All the cans have many years of use left in them, and since they are original military there will be military markings on the outside and they may need to be cleaned. Grade I. Non-returnable.

Surplus condition scale:
Grade I – Used in like new to excellent condition.
Grade II – Used in good condition, may show minor use.

Excellent storage boxes, these showed up a little rusty but with some oil they were as good as new. The difference between 'Fat' and normal ammo cans is that the fat ones are able to fit rifle and pistol ammo boxes. the regular 50 cal cans are a tad to small.

I actually got this can from my father. I was quite suprised to find that my ammo boxes fit perfectly. I shoot 40 S&W and 45 ACP. I can get 10/100 round or 20/50 round plastic boxes in this can. Just make sure the hinges for the platic boxes are facing the right way or they will hang up on eachother when you try to pull them out. I think they are perfect for my needs, and I'm getting 3 more.

I purchased one with my recent order not expecting much, but I was surprised to get a like new can. To let you know how good the seal is, I opened mine & heard a suction hiss (the pressure at the location it came from was less than where I'm at). I liked the larger size because my assorted ammo boxes fit in better. All I had to do was take a damp towel & wipe off a bit of dust from the exterior. There was no spray paint my can like others are saying...but who knows, I probably got lucky. It's a great buy, and I just ordered 2 more to put my ammo inventory in. They're heavy duty & well worth the $.

I bought two of these for ammo storage. I put 22 boxes of Rem 223, 3 boxes of 40 S&W, 2 boxes of 12 ga 2 3/4, and 1 box of 380 Auto and still have room. It all fit in one box. So now its time to buy some more ammo. These Ammo cans were very clean and the rubber seals are in great shape. The pain job on them showed some wear but does not look use, just stored. This was a great buy!!! Ordered them on Tuesday and got them in on Thursday. FAST SHIPPING CTD!!!
