It fits, although a bit hard to get it to go over the tongue. At first I thought it was too long but with some twisting it went in. I have the The late Chinese sks that takes the 17 inch rod. The older ones take a 17 1/4 rod. Well I took a chance and I am glad I did. Better then nothing!

I have a 18.75" and it WILL NOT fit a Chinese 20" SKS. This is your standard run of the mill SKS. You need a 17" rod!!! How misleading this site is... If you have a Yugo with a grenade launcher (59/66), you're looking for a 15 & 3/4" rod.

The rod received was 17.25 inches long and not 18.75. Does not make any difference in either manner as both are too long to fit in my Yugoslavian SKS-M59/66. I wonder what size the M59/66 does take? Any idea out there?

Its exactly what it says it is, and very clean and mine looked new. I thought that since some people had said it fits in their Chinese SKS it would work for my Yugo but surprisingly its just a bit to long to properly sit in the stock. That's my fault, not CTDs fault.
