I received my cleaning rod 8 days after ordering and it arrived in great condition. The 17 inch rod was actually 17-1/4 inches, which pleased me very much, because the specs for my Model 56 SKS stated that was the issue length. BUT, when I slipped it into place, it was 1/8 of an inch too long. 5 minutes of measure and cut off with my Dremel, a quick touch up with a fine file and it was a perfect fit and still allowed the SKS-632 cleaning jags to thread on. You really can't go wrong with this rod.

Yeah, it's too long. Should have measured. I only got this one because what came with my 59 was boogered up. Oh well. It just won't be going on the gun. 5 bullets. A cleaning rod is a cleaning rod is a cleaning rod.....

Too long for a Norinco.

This rod does not fit my M59 Yugoslavian SKS properly. It fits OK with the bayonet locked back, but it blocks the bayonet from being locked in the extended position. Since I don't really plan on using the bayonet very much, I guess it's OK, but it is definitely not a perfect fit.

The rod that arrived is 17.25 inches long. My Norinco takes one that is 17 inches long. Cant cut it back without losing too many threads. Have to go through the hassle of returning it.
