Note: Forend wrench does not work on removal of existing forends with recessed slide tube nut.

I installed this forend on my Remington 870 Express. It is a nice product that is lighter than the factory forend. I found that, in my case, the forend nut was just loose enough to remove the stock unit without using the tool. The tool did come in handy for installing this unit. Good look, lighter than factory, and was not hard to install.

I ordered both the stock and forend. The stock went on smooth, but the forend does not fit the 870 super magnum even though customer service says it will. Finally after hours of struggling it looked great. Took it to the range and the gun locked up after first round and everything is jammed in the tube and forend will not release. Customer service was NO HELP on this either. Very disappointed in CTD.

The forend is solid and a great compliment to the Phoenix pistol grip with collapsible stock. But make sure you order a REAL forend wrench or that you already have one. The wrench with this forend is crap and doesn't reach far enough.
