| I was initially reluctant to order this scope, given its low price tag. What a mistake that was! This is an awesome scope. I have mine mounted on a 5.56 AR-15 I built from the ground up, and it shoots GREAT. The varying degrees of illumination are pretty cool. However, aside from the red, green, and black, I'm not sure of the value of the 32 colors to choose for your reticle? Maybe, if you're a girly girl and you fancy pink crosshairs, then I suppose it's a nice feature. I had it out at the range and a friend had a $400 Nikon on his AR. The Nikon didn't even come close to the quality of this scope, and it was 4x the cost! The Leapers zeroed easily, held its zero, and provided a clean, clear view, with no distortion. Plus, I guess due to its size, the FOV is great and makes target acquisition fairly easy. My cousin loved it so much, he bought one for his Dragunov rifle. One guy commented that heavy recoil is causing his scope to lose zero. Well, I disagree, because my cousin's scope is holding zero on his Dragunov just fine. The only recommendation I will make is to get the QD mount. It makes adjusting the scope for the proper eye relief a breeze, plus it held zero pretty well when I took it off to clean the rifle! This scope, at this price, is fantastic. If I could give it six bullets I would! |
