Double muzzle brake for Ruger 10/22 rifles. Easy to install and reduces muzzle rise and recoil from both slots and holes. Slips on around your original front sight post and tightens in place. Requires no gunsmithing and retains your original front sight post. Blue steel and not made by Ruger. Will not fit heavy barrels, target barrels, or International stocked versions. .065 inside diameter. This is a muzzle brake, NOT a flash hider. New in package.

Like many other reviewers, I purchased this for looks, and to protect my muzzle. It looks great, especially with my Tech Sights, together they create an entire new look for the end of my rifle. I haven't noticed any change in performance from the rifle, but it is a welcome cosmetic change. I too had to replace the set screw (4mm x 4mm), and drilled a small recess into my barrel to accept the set screw. Some loctite to hold it all together, and the simple job is done.

As a college student that loves to run and gun, I can't afford the big toys just yet. So I run my Mossberg 500 or my Ruger 10-22. This is a quality part, but just like every body else, I have run into a problem with the set-screw. P.S. the Ruger 10-22 is poor man's AR-15. It's not the size, it's the placement of the bullet.

Over all a decent muzzle brake, but don't waste your time with the set screw that comes with it. It is way to soft. I would get a hardened steel one and use some loc-tite. After that it worked fine.

It took a good while to get one of these but was worth the wait. Glad I had read the previous posts about the allen wrench supplied with the MB, they are correct, it's very soft. Used one of my own and had no problem. Definatly ads a "serious business" look to any 10/22 equipped with a military-style stock.
