Straight from the current military supplier, we found a small quantity of MRE biscuits that go great with any meal. Each sealed case contains 130 individually sealed, moist, buttery tasting biscuits. Each biscuit is about 3" in diameter by 2" thick. Supplies are very limited and not sure we will see them again.

We got a case for our cache to go with other food we have put back. We opened one to try it. We were all surprised at the quality. Good taste; even our 7 year old liked it. Good item, I will get more for sure. A sure bet for preppers or just to have around.

Perhaps even excellent in taste just by themselves (!), although certainly not light and fluffy (that wouldn't work in an MRE...). Very fresh, mine are from late September 2011. They are a bit over 1/2 an inch thick (I just miked one through the plastic as a bit over 6/10ths of an inch) and they're cut in a neat stretched hexagonal sort of pattern, which is a good approximation of a circle that doesn't leave leftover dough. 250 calories each, only 90 from fat and cholesterol free. Highly recommended!

These biscuits remind me of the wheat bread (but are white) that is found in mres but with a buttery flavor. They are thick enough that you can cut them in half like a regular biscuit for sausage, gravy, jam, etc., about an inch thick. I would have given 5 stars if it had been a tad thicker. Best deal for shelf stable biscuits I have seen hands down though, and would buy these again in a heartbeat. Buy these and some powdered eggs and you are in business for a good shelf stable breakfast.
