Stand up and hook up! This was the order given to thousands of brave airborne troops time and again during World War II. To ensure troops made it to the ground with their M1 Carbines, each paratrooper was issued a special case designed to protect the carbines and keep them with the soldier before, during and after airborne deployment.

Because original cases were discarded after the drop, they are almost impossible to find. Fortunately, we found an excellent and exact reproduction of these WWII jump cases to fit your folding stock paratrooper M1 carbine.

Identical to the original, even down to the period correct Olive Drab # 3 mid War color, each 33 inch cotton case is quilted over thin padding. Just like the original, a large steel hook is stitched onto the side of the case. Sewn onto the opposite side, cotton canvas eyelets thread through 7 subdued, brass grommets and secure with your parachute cord or small diameter rope. A storm flap then folds over the grommets and 7 subdued, brass snaps cover and protect the grommets against getting snagged on other gear during and after deployment. Once on the ground, troops would cut the cordage, pull it through the eyelets to instantly open the case and allow quick access to their carbines.

Each case measures 33 inches long and 7 inches deep to perfectly encompass your folding stock M1 carbine rifle.

These case are new, but the production run is limited, so get yours today before they are impossible to find.

4.0 Rating Infinitely impractical - but SO COOL!! - 12/18/2014

Seriously? As a case to tote back and forth to the range there are far, FAR better choices. That said, what better way to show off your M1A1 Folding stock than in vintage style jump gear? There are a series of canvas loops that pass through (un-seamed) holes running the length of the case on one side, and a matching set of grommets that slip over those. Pass a piece of para-cord (not included) down the line of loops and they "cinch" the open side of the case closed. (The ends are sewn with a panel so it all stays nicely uniform and the gun clean. Once you have them "cinched" and secured with the cord there is a fold over flap that comes up and over to snap down the length of it covering the grommets, loops and seam. It's a tight fit, but I expect it was back then too as things sliding around when jumping out of planes into combat was probably a very bad idea. Now, This part is pretty neat. You don't have to unsnap it... Just pull out the cord and the case lays right open for you. It's a real comment grabber. If I had a second rifle? - I'd be getting a second case - no question. Very, very clever little rig.
