Leave it to the German military to think of every detail on their paratrooper combat bag. Meticulously designed and overbuilt, the paratrooper combat bag is full of the features and details that place it in its own category of military luggage. Six compartments of various sizes are excellently located throughout the bag and the entire bag is constructed of coarse nylon with reinforcing webbing around the main compartment.
The main compartment measures a generous 21 inches long by 9 inches wide by 22 inches tall and closes with a double zippered flap that is 7 inches wide. The flap is the full length of the top of the bag and has a hook and loop closure strip on one end. At the bottom of the bag is a removable, polycarbonate reinforcing sheet that can be easily removed or replaced by turning the bag inside out and sliding out the insert.
Inside the main compartment, they are two smaller compartments that are stitched to either side each measuring 21 inches long by 13 inches tall. Both small compartments close with 2 small hook and loop squares.
Outside the main compartment, two 20 inch long by 15 inch tall zippered pockets are stitched to either side of the bag. Inside one of the two pockets, there are three smaller, gusseted pockets that have hook and loop closures. The largest of the three inner pocket measures 11 inched tall, by 9 inches wide, and expand to 1 inch thick. The medium inner pocket measures 9 inches tall by 5 inches wide and expands to 1 inch thick. The smallest pocket measures 9 inches tall by 3.5 inches tall and expands to 1 inch thick.
Finally, a large zippered pocket can be found on the end of the bag and measures 14 inches tall by 8.5 inches wide.
