Item: MIL-2115

Original German military Flecktarn camo flak vest used during altercations and for field exercises, this is not a bullet proof vest and should not be used as such. Features side entry, adjustable shoulders, removable padding, pocket and gear rings. One size fits up to a 46" Chest, used good condition. Grade II.

All Military surplus products are used, the condition of the products varies, and the quantities may be limited. Unfortunately, we can not accept backorders or returns on any surplus products. Surplus condition scale:
Grade I – Used in like new to excellent condition. Grade II – Used in good condition, may show minor use.
Grade III – Used in fair condition, will show normal wear and tear from daily use.

I bought two, opened one up to see the front armor panel, and it's marked: einsatz, körperpanzerung, splitterschutz ml-vorderteil, 8470-12-315-4209 Q/B22B/T0025/T0376, LBA + Wahler - 1996 Aramid Los: 1025. It has an authentic aroma, and is easy to move in. Seems to have six panels - (similarly marked) each side of your neck, two shoulders, front and back. Certainly not up to stopping any rifle rounds, but on Z-day, if a zombie goes for my spleen, it'll have a bit of a tough time. :)

Shot this with UMC 230 gr .45, and 9mm NATO loads (53428). Stopped both just fine. Don't take my word for it. Buy your own and (safely) test it and draw your own conclusions!

I bought four of these for me and my zombie sidekick Louie. Two were '96 models with identical labels and looked like new. One was '88 and faded and one was '87 and like new but with two more different labels. We took the 87/88 kevlar panels out and stuffed them behind the panels in the '96 vests. When wearing them you feel like you could take a charge from a rhino.

Ordered two. One was clearly good used surplus, just as described: no visible damage, all snaps and straps and Velcro intact, plates felt all in the right places, but visible fading (added authenticity bonus: empty crumpled hard pack of Pall Malls, complete with German Surgeon General warnings, in the front pocket). The other was brand-new, never used (no fading, Velcro had never been opened, factory sizing still in the fabric). They were both snug - I'm 6'/250ish, 46" chest - but fit when the Velcro side panels were relieved. Yeah, they smell like slightly musty milsurp. Who cares? Where else can you get either a brand new or perfect used flak jacket with light armor panels for under $40? If you expect more, you're being a princess - knock it off.
